Not quite a laptop replacement, keyboard dock isn't as sturdy as we'd hoped

The Transformer Pad uses a bespoke battery charger like Apple's Ipad. We'd prefer to see a standard charger used. It packs a 22Wh lithium-polymer battery, and Asus claims that this will last up to 10 hours on a single charge, which we found to be spot on.

The Asus Transformer Pad proves it is a great device both for working and for entertainment, with great performance from that quad-core processor and an impressive keyboard dock too.

Conclusions The Transformer Prime was a top-notch tablet when it was released last year, and the TF300, which isn't vastly different, except that it's less expensive, carries that torch. But it seems like a placeholder while we wait for the Infinity...
