Asus MeMO Pad 7 ME572C

A good, if not timely, Nexus 7 alternative

Good battery life ; High-quality screen ; Fairly powerful 64-bit CPU

Hard plastic back comes across a little cheap ; Beaten on pure value by some ; Too many pre-installed apps

The Tesco Hudl 2 offers slightly less finesse, but a weightier sound that’ll probably work better in many conditions.

Asus MeMO Pad 7 (ME572C/CL)

First Look from IFA 2014: Asus scores a hit with this Nexus 7 alternative

This is a very smart tablet, that much is obvious. If you're in the market for a small Android tablet then you should have it on your shortlist. It's a clear step up from the the Nexus 7. The only caveat is whether you're better off with an 8-inch...

Asus MeMoPad 7 ME572C review

Can Asus do it without Google?

Good screen ; Respectable power ; MicroSD storage ; Attractive design

Lots of pre-installed apps ; Not much volume ; Average camera ; Annoying bezels

A solid, if unremarkable tablet that carries on the good work Asus did with Google's Nexus 7 without really adding anything new to the experience.

Asus MeMO Pad 7 (ME572C) Review: In Depth

Asus' MeMO Pad 7 ME572C is a fresh take on the Nexus 7 tablet, sporting a stylish design & Full HD screen. Here's our review of this 7-inch Android tablet.

Slick design ; Smooth performance

No 3G or HDMI

The Asus MeMO Pad 7 ME572C is one of our favourite affordable Android tablets of recent times. Families will get more from the Hudl 2, with its excellent family features, but the MeMO Pad is great for anyone wanting to stay productive as well as...

Asus Memo Pad 7 ME572C review

Asus' latest 7in budget tablet pushes the boat out with an insanely bright screen and rapid performance

The Asus Memo Pad 7 ME572C is a fine budget tablet. The design is appealing, and the display is both sharp and superbly bright. It suffers from a touch of lag, but this is something we could live with, and elsewhere it offers all you could expect of a...

Asus Memo Pad ME572C review: A pad to remember

We have in our anxious reviewer hands the current top-dog of the Asus 7-inch crowd, the Memo Pad 7 ME572C. The Asus naming convention doesn't help much in identifying specific models and one must resort to alphanumeric internal designations to...

7.0-inch IPS LCD with a 1200 x 1920 pixel resolution for 323ppi, Corning Concore glass ; Intel Atom Z3560 chipset with 1.83GHz quad-core CPU, PowerVR G6400 GPU ; 16/32GB of built-in storage, expandable via microSD up to 64GB ; 5MP main camera, 2MP...

Screen gets instantly covered in smudges ; Speakers prone to muffling when tablet is held in landscape mode

Asus should have opted for a better name for Memo Pad 7 ME752C that sets it apart from the rest of the company's tablets, because on paper and in real life the slate is truly impressive.

Asus' new Memo Pad 7 is an Android tablet with real style (hands-on)

Evoking the look of a skinny handbag, the new Asus Memo Pad 7 is the latest and most stylish tablet to bear the name.

Check before allowing update to Lollipop (Android 5)

  (Rating Hidden)

I have the lower spec Asus Memopad 7 ME176CX released around the same time. I loved it.But ever since it updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop it has been frustrating. It doesn't keep time, battery life is reduced and heats up significantly, it randomly...

Classy and delightfully impressive

  (Rating Hidden)

I bought this a few days ago to replace my 2012 Nexus 7 which recently became unusable. Like that Nexus, the ME572C slips handily into the map pocket of many outdoor jackets. My experience so far has been very positive and mostly like that described by...
