Asus Fonepad 7 LTE video review: 7 inch tablet works as a phone is good but not great

Starting at £199, it does seem a little overpriced, particularly compared with Asus's own impressive £120 Asus MemoPad 7. However, that model does lack the SIM-card slot so there's no 3G/4G connectivity or ability to make phone calls and send texts.

Asus Fonepad 7 Dual SIM Review

If you are looking for a tablet which gives you the capability to make calls with its dual-SIM card slots and a decent look in budget price, then the Asus Fonepad 7 is the perfect choice for you. The hardware though, isn't very promising and the tablet...

Affordable price tag ; Dual-SIM with calling and data capability

The Intel SoC doesn't provide a lot of power ; Display quality isn't that great ; Glossy plastic body

Asus Fonepad 7 (16 GB) Review

It is an updated version of the older Asus Fonepad tablet and comes with good features like Intel processor and dual camera.

It offers a fluid performance The autofocus front camera is much better than its competitors Battery output is appreciable Preloaded apps are useful and its sound output is also quite high

Feels a bit heavy and is quite thick and it is a bit slippery Should have Android 4.4 KitKat The rear camera is decent but could have been made much better

Asus Fonepad 7 Review

The Asus FonePad 7 is a direct competitor to the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 211. The tablet has some pretty interesting features such as Floating Apps, the ability to play heavy-duty apps smoothly and make calls. On the downside the display is reflective,...

Smooth interface ; Clear call quality ; Skin and preloaded apps are nice ; Audio output for movies and games is nice

Audio output is a bit soft for calls ; Lacklustre display ; Inconvenient as a phone ; Floating video player app makes the device lag

Costs Far Too Much for its Capabilities

  (Rating Hidden)

The touchscreen has proved to be terrible with poor responsiveness and a tendancy to select something nowhere near the area of screen that was touched. The processing is slow, it feels "cheap" and it is a ridiculous shape to be considered a mobile...

Asus Fonepad 7 LTE

One device for everything! I use it as a mobile, tablet or e-reader (has a reading mode although not as good as a kindle). Cheap in comparison to large mobiles

It is not as good as a dedicated mobile in relation to speed or looks

Asus Fonepad 7 LTE

Unbelievable value for a 3g Tablet, & the phone feature is an added bonus allowing use on GiffGaff on their unlimited data phone bundles.

Doesn't come with headphones, but I knew that anyway so haven't really found anything bad about it yet.
