Amazon's biggest tablet for older children is excellent value
Less childish than the Kids Edition ; Great parental controls ; Useful for the whole family
Cameras aren’t as good as rivals ; Limited content selection ; Middling performance

The Fire HD 10 Kids Pro is the biggest of the three Pro models that have an interface designed around older kids.
Good quality screen ; No-quibble warranty ; Well-designed case
No Alexa in kids profiles ; Quite expensive ; Missing Amazon Prime content
The Fire HD 10 Kids Pro is a great kids tablet. The HD 8 Kids Pro is arguably better value, though.

Great for entertainment, not ideal for schoolwork.
Slimmer case made for older kids ; Improved display ; Ideal for games and streaming video
Not ideal for school ; Built-in browser needs work
The Amazon Fire HD 10 Kids Pro is a tablet that older kids will love for streaming and games, and parents will appreciate for its robust and super-customizable parental controls.

Excellent parental controls ; Library of brand-name kids' content ; Two rugged case options ; Long warranty
App store lacks some popular comics apps and games ; Not enough power for action gaming
The kids' version of the new Fire HD 10 is ideal for parents who want to tap into Amazon's carefully curated Kids+ library and take advantage of powerful, detailed parental controls.

For parents, finding the right balance between letting your child explore the digital world and keeping them shielded from what's out there is truly difficult. Amazon offered a reliable solution for this with its original Fire Kids tablets. But as kids...
Great case options ; Expanded content options are nice ; Excellent content library ; Exceptional parental controls ; The display is bright and vibrant
Missing Google Play Services ; Only a 32GB built-in storage option ; App approvals have to be done via the web
The Fire HD 10 Kids Pro is an excellent option for older kids. With its powerful hardware, it can keep up with their growing demands, and the new parental control features allow you to open up more features as your child grows and matures.

Amazon's Fire tablet for tweens offers a nice screen, great battery life, and kid-friendly features for a decent price.
Vibrant screen makes cartoons pop ; Tenacious battery outlasts the competition ; Comprehensive 2-year warranty
No native Google apps ; Dull audio compared to the competitors
But if you do decide to invest in a new Amazon Fire HD 10 Kids Pro (2021) you'll be getting a great all-around tablet that can help your kids learn and play, on a schedule that works for you.
