Could the Acer Iconia Tab A700 be the best tablet on show at CES? It's definitely the best so far due to that fact that it is only the Taiwanese company

Acer Iconia Tab A700 review

The Iconia Tab A700 is a strange beast: it's stuffed with mightily impressive innards but they're wrapped in a dullard design

Feast your eyes on its HD display rather than its bland design and the A700's a rather good tab

Acer Iconia Tab A700 review -

Sharp Full HD screen, tons of storage space, long battery life

Occasional slowdown, chunky build

Acer Iconia Tab A700 Review

The Iconia Tab A700 has a 10.1in display, which is great for films. It is quite heavy and chunky and despite its quad-core chip, is prone to the odd slowdown. However, for watching films and playing games it's a good choice.

Clear full HD screen, lots of storage space, impressive battery life

Some slowdown, chunky chassis

The Acer’s Iconia Tab A700 has a sharp Full HD 10.1-inch display, which is great for watching films, It is a bit heavy, a bit chunky and does have some slowing down issues at times, but it’s still a good choice if you want to play films or games on the...

Acer Iconia Tab A700 review

Acer's Iconia Tab A700 packs in Nvidia's Tegra 3 and a superb Full HD screen for under £400 – at this price, it's the Android tablet to beat

The pattern was repeated in SunSpider: the Acer’s 2,794ms is nothing to be ashamed of, but it can't match the 2,008ms of the Transformer Pad 300.

Acer Iconia Tab A700 Review

Acer has built another solid tablet, but only for those willing to sacrifice a bit on style, weight, and size.

Like the A510 and A200 before it, Acer has built another solid tablet, but only for those willing to sacrifice a bit on style, weight, and size. It runs Android 4.0 and has good processing power, but it’s heavier and bulkier than what we’re now seeing...

Acer Iconia Tab A700 review: a 10-inch ICS tablet with Tegra 3 and a 1,920 x 1,200 display

We'll skip the long contextual intro about how high-powered Tegra 3 tablets are becoming a dime a dozen and get straight to the meat: the new Acer Iconia

Highest-res display in Acer's lineup ; Clear, loud audio ; Comfortable design

Glitchy performance ; Performance and battery life trail competitors

Though the A700 stands out with its crisp 1920 x 1200 display, its performance could use some fine-tuning. Until then, we can think of similarly priced tablets that run more smoothly, and last longer on a charge.

The Acer Iconia Tab A700 gets a high-res screen, shoddy implementation

The Acer Iconia Tab A700 is a capable tablet with a sharp, high resolution screen, that ultimately can't compete with lower priced tablets that offer better performance and/or value.

The ; high-res screen sharpens text and graphics to near-iPad Retina levels. Also, it's comfortable to hold and includes both Micro-HDMI and microSD.

The base version of the Tegra 3 can't keep up with the high-res display, resulting in frequent hangs and stutters while navigating. The cameras are unimpressive.

The Acer Iconia Tab A700 overreaches with its high-res screen and is ultimately outclassed by tablets that offer better experiences for the money.

Acer Iconia Tab A700 review

With the A700, Acer essentially took its Iconia Tab A510, slapped in a 1,920x1,200-pixel resolution screen and gave it a new name. Unfortunately, Acer failed to compensate for the extra bandwidth a high-res screen requires. The result? Stuttery...
