The Acer Switch 10 E doesn't cost a lot, has a simple magnetic hinge to connect its tablet half, and packs a generous extra 500GB hard drive into the keyboard.

The 10.1-inch screen looks even smaller surrounded by a thick black bezel. The system is so top heavy it easily tips over, and the touchscreen is not always as responsive as it should be.

Despite extra storage space and a pleasing design, the Acer Switch 10 E suffers from a low-budget feel.

The Acer Aspire Switch 10 E for 2015 looks like a possibly good choice for those after a Windows 2-in-1 laptop and tablet without breaking the bank. However, it's a shame that not much has been changed from the original.

With such a low price point, the Acer Switch 10 E is a bit of a bargain. While not the most powerful device around, it’s still perfectly capable for those who want to do little more than edit a document or two, or browse the web while on the move....

At a starting price of £230, you will never be blown away. However, Acer have put together the best possible combination of hardware and performance in the smallest and lightest package possible. Well done!

The Acer Aspire Switch 10 E isn't too different from its predecessor, but it's £20 cheaper and has a colourful new design, and might help the company to boost its falling share of the PC market.
