Totem Sttaf review

Attention to detail justifies this pricey compact two-way floorstander

Beautifully judged balance gives fine scale and involving voicing ; Performance justifies the price ; Quick and lively sound despite laid-back character

Bass grip and grunt and loudness capability are limited ; Not best for heavy rock music ; Accurately lining up plinth and enclosure is tricky

Happiest atmodest loudness levels, this speaker delivers good scale with fine midband

Beautifully judged balance gives fine scale and involving voicing

Bass grip and grunt and loudness capability are limited

I've heard all the speakers in the Totem line, many times, and even owned a few of them, and the ones that I haven't owned, I've had on loan from my dealer. So let's just say I know Totem pretty well.

Purchased the Sttaf at BBR on Boxing Day for $1295 (msrp $1895 Canadian). I was happy with the price and I'm happy with their performance. Fantastic sound. I will be looking to hook these up to a new amp in the next year or so but for now I'm using a...

Totem Sttaf Floor Standing Speaker

I heard these at the same time I heard the Totem Arros, basically Totem and the designer Vince us a standard 2-way design on most of all their speakers. Let me first say this, IT WORKS! The nice thing about the 2-way design is that you don't have to...

Totem Sttaf Floor Standing Speaker

Heard the speakers hooked up to an Arcam FMJ A38 amp using an Arcam SACD player, listened all kinds of music from BonJovi to Phil Collins, sounded absolutely fantastic. Finally played some accoustic guitar from an actual SACD.

Extreme quality control, Very well balance speaker with great neutral sound on the warmer side of the spetrum, with Spectacular imaging and staging, Extremely detailed. Very forgiving speaker and Extremely versatile

None really uneless you are trying to fill a really large room, I mean Really Large. Not Very Efficient

Upgraded to these speakers from the Totem Arros, however after 8 months use, I cannot say these speakers are superior to Arros, just different. Another example of how bigger is not better.

I upgraded my audio gear from NAD to Van Medevoort, a high end dutch audio equipment manufacturer. So, the next step was to look for a new pair of speakers. I had Dali serie Blue "Live" for more than 5 years.
