The R1 Mk3 boasts an improved design, awesome audio and faultless usability - its charms are hard to resist...
Stylish design Improved controls & display Great functionality Rich, full-bodied sound Clean and clear midrange
Slightly pricey
With new features alongside an improved design, excellent audio performance and faultless usability, the R1 series has never been better. Though £200 is not an inconsiderable amount to spend on a small radio like the Ruark R1 Mk3, spend any amount of...

We've wanted to pop a small DAB radio in our newly built kitchen in order to catch some BBC Radio 6 and treat the ears to new tunes while cooking for some time. If you're in the market for a small scale radio with big scale audio then the Ruark Audio...
Great audio quality, striking bass for the size, attractive finish, easy to use, good reception
The plug is huge, no remote, should be cheaper, no built-in battery (accessory option)
If you're in the market for a small scale radio with big scale audio then the Ruark Audio R1 Mk3 should definitely make your shortlist. It doubles as a Bluetooth speaker (albeit not a wireless one without the optional BackPack accessory), is a doddle...

Loads of functionality, a sophisticated design and excellent sound quality are important ingredients for this excellent kitchen radio from Ruark Audio. The R1 MK3 Tabletop Radio is worth every penny of its £199 RRP.

Ruark Audio's R1 has become one of the go-to devices for those after a simple no-fuss DAB radio solution. Now in its third generation and more polished than ever, it feels like all a radio fan could ever need.
Consumer review (which.co.uk)
This is a nice quality radio that when being used as such sounds good. On that basis alone though it needs to be a damn sight better to justify the £200 price tag. There are plenty of other 'reasonable sounding radios' for vastly less money than this....
Consumer review (which.co.uk)
Easy to use, lovely sound, works consistently well, deals with power cuts all by itself not needing reset which is important in a rural setting.Has facility for several alarms but i think you have to set one or another as i have not found a way to set...
Consumer review (which.co.uk)
For a fairly compact mono radio, the Ruark R1 produces an excellent sound, and is a high quality set. The Which? review mentions that the aerial has to be attached - this is true, but it's easily done and if the aerial is "loose" after fitting, then...
