Philips BT2500B: Pocket-size budget Bluetooth speaker packs some punch

The $50 BT2500B is a travel-friendly wireless speaker that sounds pretty decent for its tiny size.

The Philips BT2500 is a very compact Bluetooth speaker that slips easily into a bag or pocket. It has built-in speakerphone capabilities and sounds relatively decent for its small size.

Battery life could be a bit better; no carrying case included.

The Philips BT2500's slim design and budget price make it an appealing, travel-friendly mini Bluetooth speaker.

Philips BT2500 wireless speaker review: shiny summer sounds

Its the little things that make a wireless speaker a pleasure to use, much like the Philips BT2500.

: While it isn’t the most rugged portable speaker we’ve ever used, Philips does extremely well to shove a polished speaker into an equally polished exterior. It’s easy to use and lasts long enough to be useful, and for R799, it’s probably one of the...

Good overall blue tooth speaker. Works well, battery last longer than you think.

I have had the speaker for a couple of weeks. My previous BT speaker worked well, but the USB charging port was flimsy and very prone to failing. The Philips BT2500 appears much better built.

Speakerphone addition a real plus.

With Android phones at least, speakerphone volume too, too low.

Easy to use

I was able to compare this with several speakers of the same size on a large demo display, this one had the best overall sound and it was the only one that had decent sounding bass. I would highly recommend it for use with a smart phone.
