The Monoprice MBS-650 speakers offer remarkable sound quality for a pair of speakers that cost less than $50.

They're relatively large and unstylish, so they're not a great fit for every room. The spring clip connectors don't securely grip the speaker wires, so an inadvertent tug can yank them out.

The Monoprice MBS-650 are best-sounding ultrabudget bookshelf speakers, if you can live with the generic styling.
