Ministry of Sound Audio L Plus

The Ministry of Sound Audio L Plus is a large wireless speaker. It joins two others in the series that I've looked at recently, the Audio S Plus and Audio M Plus – the small and medium units.

Wi-Fi and Bluetooth ; Cheaper than Sonos ; Has some power behind it

Poor mid-range definition ; Busy arrangements ; Narrow-ish sound presentation

Rich in wireless features, but confused, crowded mids hold back the Ministry of Sound Audio L Plus from delivering truly convincing sound.

Ministry of Sound Audio L Plus review

Fans of dance music, will probably gravitate towards this weighty, punchy wireless speaker...

Great with melodies ; Lots of bass weight and punch ; Lots of features for dance music fans

Lacks detail ; Limited dynamic range

The Audio L Plus is a dance-friendly wireless speaker that will suit Ministry fans; it just lacks the subtlety and detail to be a worthy all-rounder

Ministry of Sound Audio L Plus review

Bringing clubland into the home

Good-looking ; Impressive sound ; Lots of audio sources

Sometimes awkward setup ; Multiroom is tricksy ; Touch controls a little insensitive ; Not hugely loud

Ministry's Audio L Plus sounds great, but setting it up and enabling a multiroom array are far from simple. The important thing is the sound though, and there it lives up to the Ministry of Sound name.

Ministry of Sound Audio L Plus review: Much more than a Clubber's Guide

Who would have thought that Ministry of Sound would be an obvious Sonos multi-room audio competitor? That's exactly where the Audio L Plus is targeting its attention, as the top-of-line product in the MoS Audio range. Ministry of Sound might sound like...

Sound quality really is excellent (and not solely for dance music), tap and swipe controls, multi-room potential

App less proficient than Sonos, build a little plasticky, touch controls overly subtle

Ministry of Sound might sound like an unlikely Sonos competitor, but the Audio L Plus does a grand job of making itself heard in the multi-room market.

Can Ministry of Sound crack the multi-room speaker market and take on Sonos? Find out in our Audio L Plus review.

The Ministry of Sound Audio L is a decent looking wireless speaker which is also cheaper than a lot of big name rivals. However, the collection of small and niggly issues add up to create what is quite a frustrating experience. The app can be made...

Ministry of Sound Audio L Plus and Audio M Plus review

Loud, low and highly flexible: these wireless speakers mount a serious challenge to Sonos' Play:1 and Play:3

With such a good all-round sound quality, I’m seriously impressed with these two new speakers from the Ministry of Sound. However, at £300 for the Audio L and £200 for the Audio M, they’re not cheap, and they’re also notably pricier than the equivalent...
