I've had my Ascent I's for a while now. They are fantastic sounding. Large sound stage and excellent imaging. Never heard a box speaker that can match their transient response. I use very large mono block amps.-electrostatic speakers really like clean...

These are my second pair of Martin Logan speakers. The Ascent i produces a very transparent, open sound that is not bright. the speakers radiate high frequencies from a large curved panel and accordingly do not create the beaming effect of most...

As I noted in a previous review I have owned these speakers for five years and can only say that I am impressed with their performance. I am currently running them with an NAD M3 signature series two channel amp and a ML Descent subwoofer. The sound is...

I have always been facinated by ML, but the electrostatic weekneses have kept me away from buying them............... but that was until I heard the Ascent i. For the first few days I was ready to sell them again, but the more I listened to them, the...

Everything but the low´s

Bass........... and maybe they lack a little "slam" in the midrange as well

CLEAREST HIGHS AND MID RANGE IVE EVER HEARD. GREAT IMAGING

THE WOOFERS STILL NEED ALOT OF WORK TO BE IN THE LEAGUE OF THE PANELS SOUND.jUST DOESNT BLEND WELL ; VALUE-ALTHOUGH I WOULD NEVER TRADE THESE SPEAKERS WHEN COMBINED WITH THE DEPTH AND DESCENT TOGETHER, BASED ON JUST THE ASCENT SPEAKER ALONE I WOULD BY...

I bought these as floor demos. The ESL screens had dents in them and ML replaced them with Ascenti panels. Incredible speakers. Lifelife vocals. I installed spikes which tightened up the bass quiet a bit. Initially running them through a 120w Technics...

Vocals, whether pop or opera, are better than being there. Quality recordings are presented the way they were meant to be

Have a definite sweetspot, so be ready to adjust your furniture accordingly. Bass will not impress the rumble-loving crowd

This is an update from a much earlier review. Having had these speaker for over two years now (approaching three), I can say with some authority that these are great speakers. I'm still satisfied--more than satisfied. This product is truly a happy...

I love my ML Ascents. The detail and soundstage are awesome. The bass is very accurate, and much improved with biwiring using Audioquest Granite. I could hear dramatic improvements with every upgrade in my system. High quality electronics, cables and...

Definition, clarity, soundstage. Voices have an "in the room" quality. You will hear things you have never heard before, and the sense of space is immense

To sound their best, plan on spending serious $$ on electronics. Placement and setup can be confusing. Be patient, it pays off huge. Not for small rooms. They cost a pretty penny, but you won't find anything in this price range or above that competes....
