It's all go with these speakers

Easy to set up ; Great sound ; Wireless rears

Nothing of consequence

Logitech Z-5450

This hulking 5.1 sets has two big selling points - first, it's got wireless rear speakers, and two, it's THX-certified. As such, the Logitechs are a good choice if you want superb sounding games and movies without tripping over cables

Logitech Z-5450 review

Trailing speaker cables all over the place is just as tedious in the office as it is in the living room, so three cheers to Logitech for cutting the two longest runs. Both rear satellites are independent, and while they aren't technically wireless -...

Logitech's wireless PC speakers promise to remove a few cables from your home office – but do they deliver for gaming and movies?

A cracking set of PC speakers – excellent sound quality and wireless to boot

Logitech - Z5450

Could this be it? Could the Logitech Z5450 package finally be the moment where a set of wireless 5.1 speakers leaps off the drawing board and becomes reality? Could this be the moment that audiophiles across ...

They cheat, they're a little compromised and they're probably not quite what you're after. Yet if you're anything like us, you'll grow to like the Logitech Z5450s. A lot.

Logitech's latest high-end speakers should appeal to anyone who has ever tripped over cables or laboured to hide the wires connecting a surround-sound...

Excellent sound, convenience of wireless, easy to set up

Too expensive, not as loud as wired versions

These wireless surround speakers sound great, but the convenience will cost you

Logitech Z-5450 Digital

Separate bass unit': Yes, THX certification': Yes, Controller': Wireless, Crossover Frequency: 150 Hz, # of satelli...

Wireless Surround speakers. Flexible input options. Cordless remote. Integrated multichannel decoders. Easy wall-mounting.

Idiosyncratic frequency response. Mounting satellites on stands is tricky. Pricey.

The biggest reason to buy the Logitech Z-5450 Digital instead of Logitech's more powerful, less expensive Z-5500 is the Z-5450's pair of nifty wireless surround satellites.

Logitech Z-5450 Digital 5.1 review: Logitech Z-5450 Digital 5.1

Logitech Z-5450 Digital 5.1

5.1-channel multimedia speaker set with 2.4GHz wireless surround speakers; Dolby Digital, DTS, DTS 96/24, and PCM 96/24 decoder; wireless remote control; multiple digital ins; THX certified.

Expensive; less powerful than Logitech's Z-5500; bandpass subwoofer sounds boomy; can interfere with wireless phones.

It's not as powerful as Logitech's wired Z-5500, but the benefits of the Z-5450's wireless rear-channel speakers outweigh the minor quality issues.

Logitech Z-5450 Digital Multimedia Speaker System Review

It seems that I spend more time in front of my computer these days than I do in my home theater. As a result, I listen to music, play games, and watch video at my desk almost every day. The idea of a true 5.1 channel surround system has never appealed...

Can handle a computer, a gaming system, and even has an extra input for a CD/DVD player ; Includes a THX-certified DD/DTS controller (with Dolby Pro Logic II & DTS 96/24) ; Very loud and clean playback of 5.1 sources

Subwoofer becomes muddy as volume level increases when listening to music ; Stereo sound quality becomes harsh at high volume levels ; Boring styling
