Libratone Zipp Mini review

The Zipp Mini is a smart, smooth-sounding wireless speaker...

Full-bodied, smooth sound ; Rhythmically entertaining ; Innovative multi-room options

Lacking some punch ; Slightly closed-in soundstage

A recommendable wireless and multi-room option

Libratone ZIPP Mini review

  (Rating Hidden)

The Libratone Zipp Mini is a stylish Bluetooth speaker, sharing its design with the larger version of the Libratone Zipp. Can this Bluetooth speaker offer a similar sound to its older brother? We sent the Libratone Zipp Mini to the test lab to find out.

Libratone Zipp wireless speakers review: Great looks, good sound, lots of features

With a few notable exceptions, Bluetooth speakers are a dime a dozen. They're commodity items with little differentiation to set one apart from the rest. Among larger Bluetooth speakers, I would count Creative's Sound Blaster Roar 2, Jawbone's Big...

Versatile (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, AirPlay, and USB host) ; Delivers 360-degree sound ; Can run on battery power ; Very attractive industrial design

Can't stream different tracks to different speakers from the same source ; Can't remotely control the volume of multiple speakers independently from the same app you're streaming music from ; Limited diversity in the Zipp lineup (just two models)

Another $50 gets you the Zipp, which delivers better sound and a lot more of it.

Libratone Zipp Mini

The Libratone Zipp Mini speaker delivers a bass-forward, user-friendly Bluetooth and Wi-Fi audio experience that can be used in multi-room scenarios.

Streams audio via both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Stylish, portable design. Intuitive control panel. Can be expanded for multi-room setups.

Highly sculpted audio and lack of stereo drivers will irk purists.

For a speaker this size and price, the Zipp Mini projects a lot more rich low-end than we're used to hearing, and yet, it never sounds too bass-heavy. Regardless of how much sculpting the DSP is doing, it's all in service of projecting a full, rich...

Libratone brings its Scandinavian flair to next-gen Zipp wireless speakers (hands-on)

Can't afford a Bang and Olufsen wireless speaker? You might try the new Zipp or Zipp Mini from another Danish company, Libratone.

Libratone brings its Scandinavian flair to next-gen Zipp wireless speakers (hands-on)

You may have never heard of Libratone, but its original Zipp -- now called the Classic Zipp -- was one of the best first-generation portable Wi-Fi speakers on the market.

We'll have more in-depth impressions in our full review so check back in a few weeks to see how Libratone's new wireless speakers stack up.

Consumer review (very.co.uk)

Good but one irritating flaw

The sound bar is good, very good for thr price. However the thing has an led screen on the front which abnoxiously stays on with the words of whatever way you have attached it. For me it states abnoxiously OPTICAL. Just right there lit up for the world...

Lg soundbar

Pleasantly surprised it is a nice soundbar. I have it with a 43” LG tv and works well. Lots of different pre sets so you can play around till the sound suits you. Tried it Bluetooth but sound kept going out of sync so bought a optical cable- they could...
