My father purchased there speakers from Circut city back wheb they where selling them to replace his 20 year old bostons. These speakers where GREAT sounding driven from a yamaha amp of the same age as the bostons. So they sat until about 2 months ago...

I'm not surprised whenever I read the crappy reviews on the IL50's. These speakers need to be set up with the RABOS Infinity sells. Mine sounded not so good before I bought one. I'm glad I heard them without reading the reviews first. I'd not have...

Great, even sounding music. Heavy, they stay where you put them. Big spikes on the bottom make sure of that. Well constructed. I read where others have had plastic parts vibrating off, but I don't see how that could happen on mine

Heavy, you can't move them very well ; The crappy fake wood contact paper covering, or whatever it is ; Those small little wheels on the front for adjusting basic bass levels are hard to read and harder to adjust if you have big fingers, like I have

I notice people either love or hate these speakers. I think they are a good value for $500. The RABOS system is a must & I wonder if some of the people who aren't getting good sound don't have the RABOS system. As far as quality LEXUS, BMW, MERCEDES...

Good sound bass through highs. They have a good flat, high fidelity sound. I think the Maple looks good but I guess that depends on the other furniture in your room

Took a little time to adjust with the RABOS in order to get the good sound. Positioning the speakers properly is also key
