The Uboom L is another win for EarFun, offering balanced audio, punchy bass and some handy features all wrapped up in a durable package.
Big, energetic sound ; Punchy bass ; Durable design
Bland look ; Battery life falls short
The Uboom L is another win for EarFun, offering balanced audio, punchy bass and some handy features all wrapped up in a durable package. However, I found the battery life fell short of EarFun’s claims.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, it's a lot of fun

The EarFun Uboom L is tuned by an Austrian music producer and promises to punch well above its weight sonically. We put it to the test.
Well priced ; Excellent sound quality ; Water resistant ; Solid battery life ; AUX input
Only available in black ; Styling is on the boring side ; No fast charging
The EarFun Uboom L is an affordable Bluetooth speaker that sounds as good as more expensive speakers from big-name brands. It seems to be almost always discounted, too, which makes it an even more appealing prospect. If you're looking for great sound...

This portable Bluetooth speaker sounds good and thumpy, and more affordable than most of its competitors in this class.
Good overall sound ; Plenty of thump ; IP67 rated for complete protection from both dust and water
Mid-range lacks a bit of definition
For the price, you won’t find a better-sounding portable, weatherproof, Bluetooth speaker.

Thumping bass, gorgeous vocals, fantastic value for money — all with only a couple of drawbacks
Very portable ; Powerful audio quality ; Waterproof and dustproof ; Fantastic value for money ; Great battery life
No companion app ; No customizable EQ

I'll just say it – the EarFun UBOOM L is a great little speaker. For its size, it produces great sound that can fill a room. I wish the battery life was better.
Small size, big sound ; Video mode works great ; Great speakerphone sound ; Decent battery life
The speaker doesn’t report its charge status to the sound source so the only way to check the charge level LEDs is to turn the speaker off and back on ; The rubber cover for the charging port is a bit difficult to open ; You can’t use video mode and...
