Definitive Technology W Studio review

How much is too much to pay for a soundbar? "Anything over $500" seems like a fair answer for most buyers. But a few are willing to fork over much more for better audio quality without having to deal with multiple speakers.

The Definitive Technology W Studio sound bar offers superb sound in an elegant package. Its included 8-inch (20cm) subwoofer can really plumb the depths. It offers a rich mix of features including a full-size remote, HDMI switching Dolby and DTS...

It's expensive; it doesn't have Bluetooth; some surround processing can still be heard on Play-Fi music, even with the processing turned off; and the Play-Fi setup isn't clear either.

The excellent-sounding, elegant-looking Definitive Technology W Studio helps bring a touch of luxury to those willing to splash out on a high-end sound bar.

Remarkable Sound Bar

upfront cost of the Sound Bar balances out the need to get new speakers - I can use existing high end equipment in my home. Wi Fi provides much better sound and synchronization than does bluetooth.

Sound Quality and Sound Stage for movies and music

Costly but worth the money
