Cambridge Audio Aero 5.1 review

Best traditional package £1500-£2500, Awards 2014. Cambridge Audio has delivered an excellent 5.1 package that is as exciting, informative and seamless as we've heard for the money

Articulate, detailed and punchy presentation ; Great rhythmic drive with music ; Fine integration ; Impressively cohesive soundfield

Not the last word in refinement, so care needs to be taken when it comes to system matching ; Subwoofer reaches its limits relatively early

Cambridge Audio Aero 5.1 review

Cambridge Audio is probably best known at the moment for its popular Minx compact speaker range, which uses Balanced Mode Radiator (BMR) drivers to generate a large soundstage that belies their diddy dimensions, and the success of BMRs inside the Minx...

Fabulously cohesive soundstage; powerful, articulate sound; solid build quality

BMRs lack a little refinement compared with traditional tweeters; subwoofer requires careful setup; boxy design
