Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin Air

B&W has a new flagship dock. It's loud, expensive, packs Airplay and is utterly, utterly brilliant.

Beautiful design, Incredible sound quality, Apple AirPlay wireless streaming

Expensive, Less subtle than the Arcam rCube

Bowers & Wilkins has pulled off an engineering masterstroke with the Zeppelin Air. It still looks a million dollars, has even better sound reproduction than its predecessor and comes packing AirPlay. For these benefits it costs £100 more than the...

B&W Zeppelin Air review

Fantastic sound and stunning streaming functions – with the Air, B&W has radically improved its iconic iPod dock

AirPlay enabled ; well-defined bass goes deep ; natural midrange ; sparkling treble

Using AirPlay results in a slight drop in sound quality

A step up from the original Zeppelin in so many ways, a must-hear for iPod dock buyers

A well as an unusual cigar-shaped chassis, this distinctive speaker also packs Apple AirPlay for wireless streaming from iTunes

A thumping party-starter with a new wireless dimension for Apple devotees.

Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin Air review

Bowers & Wilkins' Zeppelin Air iPod dock sounds excellent, looks very stylish and works easily once you've got it set up (an initially confusing process). The only concern we have is with its high price tag, which will deter plenty of prospective buyers.

B&W's Zeppelin Air is a great-looking iPod dock. The design hasn't aged since the original Zeppelin's launch in 2007. Once you've got AirPlay set up, it's simple to use - we had songs streaming from an iPhone 4 and iTunes on a Macbook Pro within five...

Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin Air (With Lightning Connector)

The striking B&W Zeppelin Air sounds as excellent as it did when the company first released the 30-pin version of this speaker in 2011, but it still has lingering AirPlay-related flaws.

Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin Air

The original Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin was an icon, standing out from the hundreds of other iPod docks on the market, with stunning styling and sound quality to match. This version carries the same stunning looks but brings with it Apple's AirPlay...

Looks can thrill but with a sound quality to match, the Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin Air is the king of the roost for those who need an audio boost for their iPod or iPhone. In fact, we can’t praise the overall gadget quality of this system enough, it’s...

B&W Zeppelin Air review

The B&W Zeppelin Air is the second iteration of Bowers & Wilkins' high-end iPod speaker system. When the British loudspeaker brand introduced the original Zeppelin back in 2007, it effectively redefined what was possible with digital downloads. Now...

Detailed, musical sound quality, iconic design, convenience of AirPlay

Poor quality video output, connection issues, no album art support, expensive

A worthy, if pricey, upgrade on Bowers & Wilkins' original hoity toity iPod speaker system. It sounds as good as it looks

Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin Air iPod dock

Bowers & Wilkins' Zeppelin Air iPod dock sounds excellent, looks very stylish and works easily once you've got it set up (an initially confusing proce...

Excellent sound quality for a medium-sized room ; AirPlay works very easily ; Great design

It's so expensive ; Setup for AirPlay could confuse newbies, especially because there is no LCD screen

Bowers & Wilkins knows that the Zeppelin Air is a premium product. It's very pretty and sounds very good, and now has the advantage of Apple's AirPlay wireless music streaming system -- the only downside is its high price.

Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin Air review

What's that, an alien egg? Nope. Memory foam iPillow? No, silly, it's a Zeppelin, a Zeppelin Air more specifically. Bowers & Wilkins brought us

Huge, fulfilling sound ; Sparkly-clean design ; Easy to use

Overwhelming bass ; AirPlay is laggy ; Pricey
