Boston Acoustics A 360 - £720

Boston Acoustics' new range has been tuned by Marantz's Ken Ishiwata for European ears. Ed Selley goes hunting for the 'signature' sound

Wonderfully musical and tonally even performance

Not the prettiest or easiest to drive

A very cohesive and entertaining speaker

Boston Acoustics A360 Floorstanding Speaker Review

Our review of the Boston Acoustics A360 Floorstanding speakers prove them to be a capable performer. Good sound, good measurements, nice looks and at $800/pr, a good value.

Excellent cabinet design using quality parts ; Solid low frequency performance for size ; Non-fatiguing for long listening sessions ; Great imaging

Pseudo phase plugs glued to the speaker cones ; Midrange presentation is recessed with slightly exaggerated treble ; Measured sensitivity is lower than rated

Boston Acoustics A 360 Floorstanding Loudspeaker First Look

The key with the new Boston Acoustics A Series speakers is the price. At $800 a pair for the A 360s, that's bargain basement pricing for tower speakers. This is a chance to get real speakers cheaply.

Boston Acoustics A 360 Review

The Boston Acoustic A360 play music with such a high level of accuracy that you get a glimpse into what the sound engineer may have heard while mixing an album. Still, that level of accuracy isn't desirable for someone who wants to watch movies with...

These speakers are accurate across a wide frequency range.

Their inefficient 89 dB sensitivity rating means you may need to crank up the amplifier to get a desirable volume.

The Boston Acoustic A360’s flat frequency response makes them great for listening to high-fidelity music but a poor choice for watching movies with a lot of bass-heavy action scenes.

Boston Acoustics A 360 200 W RMSSpeaker

Great sounding "Beer Budget" speakers. These speakers produce excellent stereo imaging, covers the audio range from up to 20,000 Hz, then rolls off down to about 70 Hz.
