Bose SoundDock Portable

We've seen Bose SoundDocks before, but this one has a carry handle and lithium-ion battery. Any good Jon?

Bose SoundDock Portable review

All you'll need is the loft-style apartment to go with this Bose

Compact, neat design ; enjoyably punchy, large-scale sound ; rechargeable battery

Some low-end blurriness ; seems a bit expensive

The usual Bose feel-good glow and (mostly) great sound too – but at a price

Bose SoundDock Portable review

Bose kit has a reputation for high prices and high quality. This dock is certainly the former, but is it the latter?

Has the usual Bose feel-good glow and mostly great sound – but at a price

Bose SoundDock Portable Review

For those of us who follow iPod accessories, it's difficult to believe that it's been nearly four years since Bose's original SoundDock was released, making it one of first "desktop" speaker systems for the iPod. Perhaps just as surprising is that...

The SoundDock Portable retains the original SoundDock's main appeal: simplicity. Take it out of the box, plug it in, dock your iPod, and you get good audio in an attractive package. It's just that now you can take that audio to the back yard, and you...

Bose SoundDock Portable

Bose's portable SoundDock delivers good sound quality in an attractive package, but don't plan on taking it very far.

Pleasing sound quality. Attractive, minimalist design. Retractable iPod tray. Remote has good range.

Expensive. Portability is limited. Remote navigation could be better.

Bose Sounddock Portable

Bose's new SoundDock Portable looks a lot like the original SoundDock, which isn't portable at all. The funny thing is, this new dock isn't all that easy to transport, either. That's despite a hand grip, a retractable iPod tray, and the ability to...

The Bose SoundDock Portable looks and sounds good, but its limited portability and hefty price tag detract from the overall package.

Bose SoundDock Portable review: Bose SoundDock Portable

Bose SoundDock Portable

Relatively compact and portable iPod speaker with a detachable replaceable lithium-ion rechargeable battery that powers the speaker and iPod; includes auxiliary input and remote control; 30-day risk-free trial.

Expensive; no bass/treble controls; no clock or AM/FM radio; only three hours of battery life at full volume.

The Bose SoundDock Portable is a really good iPod speaker, but it should cost less than $400.

In a world full of iPod docking stations, we're not surprised to see yet another from Bose.

Bose SoundDock Portable

The slimmer, sleeker SoundDock Portable is almost sure to be a hit as it combines portability with great sound and smart design.
