'Could do better' is the end of year report for Bose
Big, weighty sound ; Goes loud without hardening ; Google Assistant and Alexa
Poor detail ; Timing is underwhelming ; Lack of dynamic range ; Cluttered and confused
There are those who will be enamoured with the Bose Home Speaker 300’s weight and volume, but they are about the only things it gets right

Google Assistant versus Amazon Alexa. Much like the format wars of yore -- VHS versus Beta, HDR 10 versus Dolby Vision -- it pits two tech ecosystems against one another. Amazon Alexa is more popular, but Google Assistant performs better. But what if you
The Bose Home Speaker 300 offers a choice of Alexa or Google Assistant and excellent microphone response. It's able to play quite loud and still register voice commands. Connectivity is excellent, including a 3.5mm input and Bluetooth.
It can sound a little distant with some material and most of its rivals offer fuller sound. The Smart Home series is not compatible with the existing Bose SoundTouch systems. There's no Chromecast built-in.
While its audio quality doesn't measure up to competitors like the cheaper Sonos One, the Bose Home Speaker 300 is a flexible smart speaker with excellent voice assistant performance.

Hot on the heels of the Home Speaker 500, the $259.95 Home Speaker 300 from Bose is smaller and less expensive, but still manages to pack a punch. Its modest size may seem out of sync with its price, but it delivers some pretty powerful audio output. A co
Powerful audio output with rich bass depth and sculpted, crisp highs. Works with Alexa and Google Assistant.
Sometimes distorts on deep bass. Play/Pause can have a minor delay.
The Bose Home Speaker 300 offers Alexa and Google Assistant voice control in a small, powerful package.

Bose is taking on the Sonos One with its own dual-voice-assistant speaker, the Home Speaker 300, which will be available this month.

The newest (and smallest) addition to Bose's smart speaker line sounds sweet, speaks both Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, and encourages the building out of a Bose-based multi-room audio system.
Smooth sound and slick looks ; Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant are both on board ; Bluetooth and Apple AirPlay 2 connectivity in addition to Wi-Fi ; Six very useful content preset buttons
Multi-room configurations are limited to the Bose Home Speaker 300 and 500, and the Bose Soundbar 500 and 700 ; You can’t pair this speaker with a Bose bass module ; You can’t pair two of these speakers for stereo performances
Bose is working hard to compete in the smart speaker market, and I’d wager the company will add even more models to this line—perhaps a top-of-the-line Home Speaker 700—as well as more home theater products. It’s unfortunate, however, that the company...

The Bose Home Speaker 300 is a fantastic sounding and small speaker that sells for a mid-tier price. Though it is just a bit too expensive for us to call...
The offers high-quality and loud audio in a relatively affordable package. It is a great choice, particularly if you're looking for just a single speaker, and want the convenience of a Bluetooth connection.

Priced at Rs 26,900, the Bose Home Speaker 300 might well be among the best sounding smart speakers out there.
