The new Toshiba Q300 is a decent solid-state drive with one problem, it's expensive at launch. Here's CNET's full review.
The Toshiba Q300 solid-state drive offers a significant speed boost to computers with traditional hard drives.
The suggested price is high and its performance is slow compared to that of other solid-state drives. It includes a relatively short three-year warranty.
Slow and expensive, you'll want to steer clear of the Toshiba Q300 until there's a big price cut.

We find out if replacing your main hard drive with an SSD drive is worthwhile, and whether it really speeds up your PC.
The Toshiba SSD Q300 Pro performs very well and runs silently. It gives an impressive boost to the speed of your computer, in both startup time, and loading time for programs such as Photoshop. It can make your whole PC feel much quicker in operation,...

Toshiba recently launched two new SSDs for the entry-level and mainstream markets. Today, we look at the top-tier MLC-based Q300 Pro and find that it could be a serious contender in the market.
The Toshiba Q300 Pro delivers a high level of performance that we rarely see anymore in a world quickly being overrun by 3-bit-per-cell flash
For the cost, you just don't get enough value from the Q300 Pro. We would love to see what this drive can do with DRAM to buffer map data
In this market, to sell products you need to either have the fastest SSD or offer the best value. No one wants to be the guy who spent too much and didn't get enough for it. The best SSD shouldn't have to wait for another model to enter end-of-life...

Fast, reliable
SSDs are still more expensive than HDDs
Consumer review (newegg.com)
Would I recommend it? Absolutely! Would I buy it again? Planning on a 256GB. Need a fast LVM cache for my HDDs! Might order a few for my computer repair/building business as well.
Super fast, simple installation. Faster than my SATA II controller. Consistently hits 300MB/s read or write with no issue, even a few months later. The cheapest 128GB SSD (at the time) with good data integrity checks and a fast write speed. Low power...
This is the first review for the 128GB. SSD utility is Windows-only. Not sure if I even need it though. No built-in disk encryption. Description page could be better.

Price is a little higher than others but the added data integrity protection I think is worth it.
This SSD has higher-end features to protect your data. Comes with SLC caching, QSBC Error Correction, Patrol Read and Thermal Control Sensor features and have lower 3.3W load and 125mW idle power consumption. I have an older P67 motherboard but this...
