I used the Corsair copy program, which was very inexpensive and came with USB to SATA III cable. I would buy again the drive and the software. Time will tell how it works out, so ask me how I feel in about the Corsair drive in 18 months, which is about...
Got this yesterday, and copied my HDD (750Gb) in about 3 hrs. Booted no problem and appears to be quite stable. This was a direct replacement for a Plextor M5Pro 512 Gb drive that has given me troubles, even after warranty repair/replacement

Updating to an SSD is like going from dial up to broad band. A defiant measurable upgrade, used Xclone free version no issues
