Cheap solution that fills a need

 

I mounted one of these in a Supermicro 3U server chassis with 15 hotswap drive bays for some fast mirrored boot drives. I couldn't use the 2 vertical mounts because of height. I didn't have any open PCI-X slots, but I had a few PCIe slots. I whittled...

Cheap solution for mounting SSD in a system that was not designed to house 2.5" drives

The fins won't line up on PCIe slots. They could have these PCIe compatible by using smaller fins. The fins just serve as stabilizers and don't need to fill up the whole slot
