I bought this for an external enclosure and it seems fine. It's not maxing out the USB3 bandwidth, but that could be the USB port or enclosures fault anyway and it's not far off so I'm happy. The Enclosure is a StarTech M.2 USB3 version.

So small... But powerful!

 

Really small like the size of an eraser... Fits mobo great. Speed is satisfactory. Use this to avoid hassle of cable management of SSD/HDDs. Would recommend to anyone with a mobo that support m.2 SSD.

Just great product, fits my z97 killer m.2 great. Speed about 600/550. Cannot complaint at all!
