1st venture into SSD

This has definitely improved the responsiveness of win7. Full install and updated OS and I still have 18GB free. Installed most of my everyday apps excluding games which are seated on a samsung 1tb drive. works great and there's no need for readyboost...

low power ; good price ; silent ; cool

only gives 5.9 in win7 Index ; was only 30GB instead of 32GB

GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR

Not too bad for the price, but they could be faster and brand new it already had 35k of dead flash!!! not alot of space but it looks bad.

Speeds a tad better than a 7200rpm 2.5" drive ; Network file copying is 2/3 faster ; Price, maybe

NOT ACTUAL SPEEDS POSTED ; read is about 110m/b s ; write is about 20m/b s

PQI DK9320GD3R000A03 2.5" 32GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

I will be buying more for my servers now.

very fast and very silent unless you put your ear to the drive. doubled the life in my notebook from 4 hours to about 7.5 which i love about this drive. amazingly fast and a must buy for any performance computer. as long as your computer has a sata...

first was killed by shippers but the second is great and i also have a 64gb pqi that is also great. small but the best value ssd on the market. no TRIM support but with the money i have saved i can buy 2 for the price of an ssd with TRIM

Good Introductory SSD

To maximize the SSD in Windows XP, you'll need to disable the following: Pre-fetcher, system indexing, disk caching, system restore, time stamp, NTFS change journal, and hibernation. With these tweaks, it minimize how often the OS unnecessarily write...

Relatively Inexpensive ; Fast Read Speeds

Relatively Slow Write Speed ; Requires OS tuning

SSD on the cheap

I installed this in a Asus 1000he and I'm getting crazy fast boot times with Ubuntu. Overall this is not an excellent drive, but it is satisfactory. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a solid state drive on a budget.

(Relatively) inexpensive, shock proof, quick, low power draw, RoHS. The included cable, while I won't be using it with the drive, is handy. The drive was packaged nicely and was a treat to unbox :D

More a fault of the technology than the product but its rather pricey. The drive itself is rather basic with no auto wear leveling, cache, or other frills

DO NOT BUY

low power

2 weeks of using it, I turn my computer on and it said there was no OS present. I was thinking ok, darn I have to format, but I was ok with that... don't mine formatting at all I can't format it, tried both a linux + windows vista, win 7 cd, cant do...

Works great!

I use it as my OS drive, where it runs Windows 2008 Server Std flawlessly. I have a Raid 1 1TB setup for data. So far I have seen NO problems whatsoever, except that I am running out of space!

Silent, fast, easy to integrate

Since I have nowhere to really mount it, it's pretty much sitting on top of a nest of wires inside my case. It's only 32GB

Good read speed, slow write speed

Wish I could justify the cost of a larger capacity drive!

Good read speed, feels significantly faster than 7200rpm sata II disks. Write speeds feel about the same as 7200rpm sata II speeds (not bad, just not WOW fast) ; USB connection is pretty slick

none. Drive works as designed

meh

It's really only good for storage...but why would you get a 32gb ssd for storage?

usb interface is cool i guess? I can't say I have any use for it

Absolutely horrid at frequent writes. Definately not a good drive for installing an OS on. Having your web cache on this drive will slow your browser to a crawl. Avoid putting anything on this drive that you need frequent access to
