The CS3140 is PNY's latest flagship model in the company's XLR8 gaming line-up of high-performance S
Overall performance.
4K performance a little disappointing in some of our tests.
PNY is the latest company to pitch their hat into the PCIe Gen4 SSD ring. The XLR8 CS3140 is a quick drive and PNY has ensured most bases are covered by offering the drive in two versions, one with a heatsink and one without.

We have three of the four PNY CS3140 variants here to put through their paces. Spoiler alert: they're a speedy bunch.
+ Impressive sustained write performance ; + Storage options go as high as 8TB ; + Excellent write endurance ; + Offers optional heatsinks ; + Good value for speed
The PNY CS3140 SSD definitely fits the definition of a gaming SSD - that doesn't mean creators who often demands heavy I/O workloads won't benefit from the performance (and capacity) on offer as well.
