Plextor M3 PX-256M3 solid-state drive 256 GB

The only explanation for this is that it's also now slightly slower than the M2 in my testing, though still very fast, performing on par with many other recent SATA 3-based SSDs. That said, it offers a great boost to any computer that moving to a SSD...

The 2.5-inch Plextor M3 solid-state drive (SSD) supports SATA 3 (6Gbps) and helps improve the overall performance of the host computer a great deal. The drive is also comparatively affordable, and comes with a drive bay adapter to also fit in any...

The Plextor M3's performance is slightly slower than some of its peers.

With good performance and friendly pricing, the Plextor M3 makes a great replacement drive for any laptop or desktop computers.

Plextor PX-256M3 (256GB)

An outstanding value and a good performer, the Plextor PX-256M3 compares favorably with more expensive solid-state drives (SSD) from more established storage companies.

Strong performance. Affordable (by the standards of solid-state drives). Includes five-year warranty.

Somewhat inconsistent on intensive tasks.

1 Year Followup Review

It has been utterly, completely, 100% reliable, fast, and stable right out of the box. No updates necessary, nothing.

Plextor M3 SSD

All in all, very happy with this drive. Will buy Plextor again.

I have owned many SSDs over the past few years. This was my first SSD from a second tier brand. As with all my previous SSDs, everything works just fine. This one is installed in a mac mini running OS X and Windows 7. It is much faster than the...

Kind of on the expensive side. You can easily find a cheaper one

CAUTION!

I spent a whole day trying to figure why my computer was not working and had corrupted files. This DVD player is the culprit!! Newegg's return policy is for 30 days, I am now out the cost of this drive!!!!

None right now

Quit working exactly 33 days after installing. Messed up my whole system

Second One - Still Solid

After using my first amazing Plextor ssd, I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to buy a second one that was on sale AND came with a rebate! I cloned my first Plextor to this one using EASUS ToDo Backup, the cloning time for these two ssds was 43...

Plextor stability, speed, and dependability. How could I go wrong? This is my second one of these

Best SSDs out there period

I get from my RAID0: Read: 1506MBps or 1.5GBps Writes: 1425MBps or 1.4GBps I/O 4k 64th's: 205,000 Acc.Time: .036ms I have this on an Areca 1882xi with 4GB cache and with write-back on I get 3128MB's reads and writes but that is the speed of the...

I have had many SSDs fail on customers and myself but this are really nice and I have yet had one fail on me ; I have bought many in the past and love them, they are fast and un-stoppable. I have always liked Plextor but was a little shy at stepping...

With any SSD I would make weekly images or snapshots to another drive. When they do fail they will not make noise of show signs like hard drives do. It will make you made and cry if you lose everything. I deal with people all the time that have lost...

SO FAST!

I'm not sure what problems people were having with the included drive cloning software. I installed it, it automatically detected that I wanted to migrate from my current boot drive to this one, I clicked one button and it went on it's merry way. After...

After receiving this drive today, I can easily say that this has increased my PC experience SIGNIFICANTLY from my old intel SSD (which was kind of a joke in comparison) ; This drive is BLAZINGLY fast, reads and writes faster than it takes for the...

Can't think of any. Maybe more space would be cool, but for the price (got it on sale), you can't beat the speed for just one drive, no RAID
