OCZ Z-Drive R4 PCIe SSD Performance Preview

RevoDrive 3 product line. The RevoDrive 3 was the first product to make use of what OCZ calls their SuperScale Storage Accelerator processor with VCA 2.0, or Virtualized Controller Architecture. In short, coupled with a quartet of SandForce SF-2200...

Fastest PCIe SSD we've tested yet ; 2.8GB/sec bandwidth, on paper and in benchmarks ; Bootable device ; SandForce SF-2200 maintenance, wear-leveling and endurance second to none

A fraction of the cost of competitive enterprise-class PCIe SSDs (per GB)but still expensive ; Thermal sensitivity requires lots of direct airflow around the card

OCZ's Z-Drive R4 offered breakout performance in almost every test condition we put it under. In fact, we were able to realize the card's max read/write bandwidth specification in our ATTO test and watched it flat out crush competitive products in our...

OCZ Z-Drive R4 1.6TB PCIe 2.0 x8 SSD Full Review - 8 SF-2200's Can't Be Wrong!

Back in June of last year, OCZ released the RevoDrive, followed up rather quickly by the RevoDrive x2. A further jump was made with the introduction of VCA 2.0 architecture with the RevoDrive 3 and 3 x2. Each iteration pushed the envelope further as...

Very Fast!

My 2mb+ Excel documents open faster too.

I was able to watch my 1080p movies and browsing my email was faster without stuttering like usual

I was expecting it to come with a SATA cable but apparently it plugs into the motherboard

Great

If I hadn't received this for free to test it out, I probably wouldn't have paid for it. This is an enterprise solid state disk for a reason, and I highly doubt normal users would need something. I recommend that this is used with businesses that have...

This is the fastest SSD that I have ever had the pleasure of testing. It seems very reliable as stated. It was very easy to install and required very little knowledge. It is the highest capacity drive that I have ever seen. The previous was a 3 TB Hard...

Most people will only get 2.19 TB out of this drive due to operating system and motherboard limitations. It is really expensive. It can only be a bootable hard drive on windows 7 (with GPT)
