Proven reliability from the BareFoot controller, Trusted names make up the major components, Relatively consistent performance
Performance is not quite as good and consistent as expected
The buyout by Toshiba has, as we, know been the saving grace of OCZ and should this sale have not gone through, we would have been saying goodbye to one of the best SSD manufacturers of late. Fortunately though this not been the case and the buyout...

The OCZ Vertex 460 (240GB) is a mainstream, internal solid-state drive (SSD) that is fast and affordable. A couple of added accessories are the few features that differentiate it from similarly priced competitors.
Speedy. Comes with 3.5-inch adapter. 256-bit encryption support.
Overprovisioning means less usable space than other drives. No 1TB option.

The last few months have not been easy at OCZ. After long-lasting financial issues, the company filed for bankruptcy on November 27th and a week later Toshiba announced that it will be acquiring the assets for $35 million .
In summary, then, the Vertex 460 is a reasonable replacement for the Vertex 450, but pricing on the old model is actually a bit lower for now when resellers are clearing their stocks.

Final Thoughts It looks like OCZ is starting 2014 the right way with the launch of the Vertex 460 Solid State Drive. This drive takes what was already good in the Vertex 450 drive and makes it better, especially when it comes to mixed workload and...
– Great performance, – Improved sustained and mixed workload performance, – Accessories & software package, – 3 year warranty, – Price

FAST ; Stable ; Excellent Value
Didn't have the winning Powerball numbers already saved. In reality, can't think of anything after 6 months of use
