The Neatest!!

Don't like the little red light.

Perfect for my needs. I was looking for some back up storage that was quick and easy. This device is it. I have a few notebook drives laying around that don't get used, they will no. I can throw in a SSD, Sata drives, and its a card reader. I have yet...

None as of yet

Was on the verge of buying while building new system...

I didn't buy it after noticing the above-metioned con

Looks fine, but read the cons

But was drawn back when I saw that even though it says 2.5 SATA HDD, it actually renders any SATA drive to perform like a USB drive, not a SATA drive (nothing to do with performances you can get from an external drive using eSATA connection). They...

Works well

Manufacturing tolerances for this product are questionable. Required some physical modifications to fit my case, but now it works like a charm. 5 stars because NewEgg has made me a happy customer.

Adds memory card flexibility plus a 2.5" SATA drive bay ; Does just what it was designed to do

Poor build quality. Had to RMA the first one. NewEgg customer service is outstanding

Works For Me

My case has 4 front USB ports so I needed to add an internal USB header. I purchased the Koutech USB 2.0 PCI (2 x Ext+2 x Int Header-pin) Model IO-PU222. I plugged this into its 9 pin and she would not load the drivers for the USB Root Hub. I swapped...

Plug & Play in my Vista x64, Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P, MoBo

As others stated its case looks cheaply made but the face looks good. Heck for this kind of money ; Only two of the 4 mounting holes lined up (1 on each side), no biggy ; The HDD takes a firm push/pull to insert and remove. Yawn

Hot Swap, Great in theory

Memory card reader works fine and was easy to install, but 2.5 reader drive never worked.

The concept of a hot swap bay is great

Too bad it doesn't work in practice

Nice Little Piece of Hardware

Uses an internal USB header. Reads from and older 500gb 2.5" HD (7200RPM) at about 30mb/s.

Inexpensive and works great. Installed it in my case and when I booted into Windows 7, 64-bit, everything was loaded and ready. So far I have only used the 2.5" HD slot and the SD reader and both worked fine. The SD reader was pretty speedy when...

Looks cheap when not installed. Red LED doesn't match the blue LED's on my case

Poor Quality/Doesn't Work

I built a new PC running 64 bit Windows 7 ultimate. I took a chance with this inexpensive card reader with the promise to read 2.5" HDDs. The manufacture does not provide updated drivers. I removed this product from my build and it's sitting in the...

SD card reader works

2.5" HDD reader and other ports do not work properly

Love It

Works great with my Windows 7 64 Professional. No problems in installation.

Works with all my camara cards. Put them in and instant reading of the cards. Fast downloading to my computer. Recommend to anyone

No Cons

Drive Bay Doesn't Work Well

I bought this primarily for the hot-swap bay so I could easily insert and remove laptop drives for backup purposes. Trouble is I haven't been able to get it to work reliably in either of the two computers in which I've installed it. One machine runs XP...

Cheap

Hot swap bay is unreliable

It works

It's a very good price for what its prime function is and what it is capable of doing, but the manufacturing of this unit is kind of iffy. I'm sure not all people run into the problem I had, but now you can't say you didn't know. It fell apart, but it...

Card readers work very well! It has been identified with Windows XP, Vista, and 7, as well as Linux Ubuntu 9.10 and Mint 8

Flimsy. Right out of the box the whole unit fell to pieces. However, it didn't look like it was broken to the point beyond use. I simply put it back together and I haven't really had any problems with it (of course I immediately attached it to the case...
