Kingston SSDNow V+200 (120GB) Upgrade Kit

The Kingston SSDNow V+200 kit provides a no-nonsense way to upgrade your spinning drives to SSD speed, but parts of the package are a bit too backward-looking.

Good write performance. Included accessory kit is a full-featured upgrade solution. Affordable

Inconsistent read performance. Utilizes last-generation transfer technologies

Kingston SSDNow V200 128GB Review

This year, we have seen SSD prices absolutely plummet down below the $1 per GB level — some units can be obtained for as little as $0.70 per GB. With this price drop, the market has opened up for SSDs and many people including myself have purchased our...

Inexpensive ; Consumer-class reliability

Only rated to 300MB/s

The results are rather all over the board with this SSD. Start up/shut down is very quick and the PCMark Vantage tests show more real world figures. Pairing this with the inherent reliability of Kingston products (especially with this drive geared...

Kingston SSDNow V+200

The SSDNow V+200 series is designed for business users after a performance boost without massive cash outlay, and by and large, the drive delivers on this promise.

Kingston SSDNow V+200 Enterprise 120GB Solid State Drive Review

A few weeks ago, I took a close look at Intel's own premium 520 series SSD which uses a SandForce SF-2281 controller and 25nm synchronous NAND inside. Like any premium performance SSD, it also carries a premium…

Fast asynchronous performance ; Very good bundle and accessories ; Good overall value ; Acronis Cloning Software incuded for quick migration

Larger capacities are still a bit on the spendy side

Kingston designed this as a professional series asynchronous SSD for users who want a little more performance without paying the full price that accompanies asynchronous SSD. This saves users anywhere from $75 to $100 depending on the commodity price...

Kingston SSDNow V+200 Series 120GB SSD Review

Affordable enterprise level performance for all.

Decent performance, data integrity technology implemented, hardware level encryption

Performance not as high as other SandForce based SSDs

Since the V+ 200 Series is an enterprise level drive, it uses DuraClass and DuraWrite technologies to optimize writes which in turns increases data integrity to efficiently handle wear-leveling over the life of the drive. Of course, a lot of these...

A Wonderful Inexpensive Upgrade In Performance

I bought this drive and installed it as my main boot device in my rig, which was rather easy. To this point, I haven't used the software so I can't honestly say if it's good or not. I installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64 on this drive, and formatted and...

Speed - Very fast compared to a platter drive ; Package contents - Everything is included in this package, ie: cables, mounting brackets, software. Nothing else is needed ; Warranty - Three year warranty is better than most drives ; Price - Decent for...

There really isn't any cons that I can think of except the last time I checked this item was out of stock. Also, the price went down from what I paid for it, but I still got a great deal with all things considered

Fast and well-priced

It's only one day into ownership here and I actually purchased this to speed up a relative's computer. It had been on an IDE hard drive, but had plenty of SATA ports on new motherboard, so I ordered this unit. Going from the IDE HDD to the SSD was such...

Fast, good price, trustworthy brand, good warranty ; It has 4 mounting holes on the bottom, and 2 mounting holes on each side, so you have a couple different options for mounting it

Does not come with mounting bracket or even mounting screws, but does come with some sort of sticky mount that I didn't bother figuring out how to use. But for the price, no complaints ; It also does not come with a SATA cable, of course, but to my...

Good Price Good Performance

This is my first SSD. Put this into my computer and did a fresh Win7 Pro 64 install. Running fantastic, no issues recognizing the drive, and it is blazing fast. Shuts down in less than a few seconds. Start time is probably about 10 seconds, maybe less....

Was easy to install ; Cheap for the capacity ; Speeds are great compared to my 7200

Maybe no mounting bracket but I didn't expect one

Cheap SSD

I like this drive. It's slow, but still faster than a mechanical drive. It worked perfectly for the fanless server I was building.

It's cheap! Casing is nice and sturdy ; Mine came with updated firmware already on it

It's definitely a last-generation SSD in terms of speed
