Kingston HyperX Savage 128GB USB 3.1 Flash Drive Review

With USB 3.1 becoming a de facto standard on all motherboards – despite the fact that Intel did not add it into the Z170 PCH – flash drive

The new Kingston HyperX Savage USB 3.1 Gen 1 flash drive is a very competent product that we have almost zero issues recommending. It is

Kingston HyperX Savage Black HX426C15SBK4/64 4x16GB Review (Page 1 of 10)

Our review unit of the Kingston HyperX Savage Black HX426C15SBK4/64 4x16GB came in a medium sized, brown corrugated cardboard box from the company's American headquarters in Fountain Valley, California, USA. If you recall our last set of DDR4 RAM...

When it comes to overclocking, one could say the Kingston kit we are reviewing today is quite... savage. Running at stock DDR4-2666 15-15-15-35 1.20V, I loosened up the timings to 17-17-17-39, and bumped the voltage right up to the 1.35V limit to see...

Fantastic SSD

Had a minor issue during installation that was related to the SATA port I was using on my motherboard, for some reason was getting SATA2 speeds instead of SATA3, despite them being SATA3 ports, switching to the Intel ports on my mobo solved that issue.

First Kingston SSD I've used and so far I'm impressed. The read speeds are right where they should be and the write speeds are slightly higher then what is stated (who can complain about that?)

For a true gaming system You will want at least 2 ssd's in RAID 0 (They must be the same capacity, type and brand for the best performance). Make sure to use a standard hard drive for back-ups and large files so that You can keep from slowing down the...
