This was NOT for MY 2007 vaio laptop, but for someone else's "hand-me-down" 2011 intel i5 laptop. Word and Youtube open in 2 seconds. Amazing Speed. Thing is dead-silent when turned on, cuz, no spinning parts. Love it. Win7 install was slow cuz of the...
Came with a "SPEED DEMON" sticker! Put this in a Dell laptop where the hard drive is directly under the tap-pad. err.. "touchpad", so, the 640gb got destoryed. This is SO MUCH FASTER than a 5400rpm drive
I want one for myself. My laptop has the old 100 series intel ssd. and 120gb isnt enough for me

No metal Intel sticker for my case:(
I've been using this drive for the BOOT / OS drive in a single drive configuration and it is blazing fast. I'm ordering another one of these drives and putting it into a raid 0 configuration. A note with this drive I would like to point out is to use...

- Super thin (5mm). Comes with a plastic stick-on adapter to make it 7mm. This was needed for installation into the Toshiba. - No free SATA cable or 2.5" to 3.5" adapter with OEM packaging. If you want that make sure you order the retail packaging.
Consistent performance. I have exclusively used Intel SSDs since 2011 and have never been disappointed, unlike some drives from other manufacturers with buggy firmware ; Adds new life into a ~2007 Toshiba T135 laptop running Windows 7 ; Intel's SSD...
Not the highest performing drive, nor the cheapest drive for a given capacity

When shopping for hard drives my priority is reliablity first with price/performance being an after thought. I've seen enough SSD's to know that intel #1 when it comes to SSD reliability and this is why they are my first choice.
reliability
price - performance is good but not great, there are much faster drives for a similar price

Using Crystal DiskMark over time, the drive Reads have held steady at 450 MB/s while Writes declined over 3 months from 326 MB/s to 140 - 150 MB/s - and have then held steady. This is consistent with what I've read on performance degradation over time...
Fast drive. Purchased in early March 2014
The drive failed just before Christmas. PC did not boot, the drive didn't show in the BIOS, no longer powering up. Contacted Intel support and received RMA number after a description of the problem. Within 24 hours of their receipt of the failed drive...

A must for gaming. However make sure your system can process the data as fast as it comes in.
The CPU is now the bottleneck. Drive is so fast that my CPU stays at 100% many times. I have an Intel Core 2 Duo P8600
