Best Notebook Upgrade EVER!

I have a 128 Gig Crucial CT128M225 which posts even better performance numbers here on Newegg but, the Crucial actually runs a little bit slower than this Falcon.

If you haven't made the switch yet...do it! Boot times, load times, multitasking performance, installation/removal, anything...they all go so much faster it's almost like sitting at a new computer. :)

With the updated firmware...absolutely great speeds. I get 273 MB/s read and 203 MB/s write on ATTO even after a month of usage (90% capacity used) ; Note: When I say I have a high understanding I mean that I spent the last 3 months doing research at...

15 second boot in Mac Book Pro

Super fast. Replaced 7200RPM 160GB with this drive and never looked back. OS X boots in about 15 seconds. Battery life improved significantly

Had no problems with forum registration... downloaded firmware but haven't felt the need to upgrade the firmware yet. Running lightly optimized WinXP and Fedora10.

Fast, huge noticeable difference in speed. A great upgrade

Want to throw rocks at my other boxes with regular hard drives, they feel sooo slow now

Buyer beware, lots of people claiming bad support from gskill, I don't want a follow up post from gskill on here saying contact support. You can't get ahold of them.

Don't know what firmware is on the drive, you can't download anything from gskill unless they approve your registration which takes I don't know how long. I don't want to install anything on the drive until the firmware is updated if it deletes...

Great Bang-for-the-Buck

Great performance. I was comparing this to the Corsair 120GB and went with this for the extra 8GB plus uses the same controller as the Corsair.

Very Nice

There may be some additional mounting piece to get it to fit properly in a standard harddrive bay but for the price, you'd think it would be included. Oh well.

Very fast and SILENT. It replaced two Raptors I had in Raid 0 configuration and it is faster than the raid

I use this drive in my tower PC.. it only comes with mounting holes for a laptop, hence I had to modify my case slightly to get it to fit
