Awesome drive but way over priced!

Was the first Sata 3 SSD on the market. Still a very respectable drive

I paid $239.00 p

Good SSD

Great investment for your system.

I've had this SSD in my system since 2011. It is fast and based on how quickly technology is advancing has been reliable and not needing replacement even almost 5 years later which is better than I can say for everything else in my system. Boot time...

The first drive I received the rive it was bricked but Newegg's awesome return service sent me a new one quickly. I had to reset the drive to factory settings due to a power outage, hardly a con to this drive though

No firmware for new AM3+ motherboard

My next SSD will not be a Cruical. If this unsupported drive was years old, it would be one thing. I've had it a year! Come on Crucial, get off your derrieres and write some new firmware for this drive.

Was a good solid drive on my old motherboard. Had good speeds

I bought a new AM3+ mother board that has only SATA 6Gb ports. The firmware on this purported 6Gb hard drive instructs you to use only SATA 3Gb for installing the firmware. That would be a good plan....except I didn't buy a M/B with 3Gb and 6Gb SATA....

BSOD

Crucial did give me a hassle free customer service so while I can't vouch for the product at this time they deserve some positive recognition for service.

Was crazy fast when it worked

It destabilized on me and bios & firmware updating didn't help. Called Crucial and they're RMAing it. I'm hopeful that the new one will work properly, but in the mean time I'll have to reinstall my OS, Adobe and other programs. You also have to fiddle...

Fast and Reliable

Great speed and easy installation. I'm running this as my primary boot drive. Windows starts up fast, software installations are fast, and I haven't had a hiccup yet

Price tag is still high

Pretty Awesome

Use one of these suckers as your boot disk if you've got the money to spare.

This was my first SSD, and I almost didn't get it while I was building my PC last year. I'm certainly glad I did. While I don't have much experience with solid state drives yet, my first one has proven to reinforce my confidence in these types of hard...

Aside from the common complaint concerning cost and capacity (yay unintended alliteration), I think you are still getting what you pay for

Slick as a Babys Bottom

Using Diskeeper allowed me to gain an additional 5GB of drive space after 3 months of use. This program cleans up the unused sectors that have worthless information; therefore, it saves the drive from having to write over this info to use the space...

Hitting a stable 350mb/s with Marvell 6gb/s controller on ASUS Rampage III Formula board. The Marvell controller on this drive matches perfectly with the Marvell controller on the motherboard. Using Diskeeper to Optimize this SSD about every 2 months...

Installation of Windows 7 is a Bi-Polar experience. You must set overall BIOS to IDE first, then select ACHI in the Marvell 6gb/s section of the BIOS, then you are good-to-go with the installation of Windows 7 and this Crucial C300 drive
