Expert review by : Jonathan Kwan (aphnetworks.com)
In May 2013, gas pump price hit the highest in five years at $1.32 CAD/L here in Calgary. The all-time high, of course, was prior to the infamous crash of 2008, which we have seen the posted price of $1.38 CAD/L. While I was forced to pay almost $70 to...
If one were to look at why Crucial was selling boatloads of their MX100 SSDs in the last little while, it was because it was based on a formula that made sense: Decent speed, great price, and top notch reliability. Adding some enterprise features like...

use on my customer's builds and my own
Super fast easy to mount
none
Consumer review (newegg.com)
I use this as secondary storage for game installs only, I like to keep those install files away from the OS and other stuff. Very fast load times - I don't have anything benchmarked, but trust me, it's a quick drive. This is my first Crucial SSD,...
Very quick load times. Caught it on sale, never a bad thing.
None yet.

I would recommend the Crucial MX200 definitely, and $149 was definitely a great deal when I first bought this drive. But it just seems like the SSD prices keep dropping. I saw a special for another overall reputable brand for about $100 for 480GB, but...
So far everything has been working without a hitch, and the speed of course is unbelievable like everyone says. I am of course concerned about how reliable the SSD will be down the road, but will be doing scheduled backup images to external/network...
I think that a lot of the problems people seem to complain about are not about this drive itself, which seems to be a great value for the features and brand reliability, if that holds up. But instead about the 2 general complaints about SSD issues in...

Product shipped fast and was packed well.
This is my second one of these drives. I'm using this with another one for RAID connectivity on a Z170 System
None.
Consumer review (newegg.com)
I choose this drive because of the performance specs even though there where a lot of negative reviews. I guess you have to read between the lines to weed out all the newbie's that don't know how to config an SSD. ie; Bios settings, sata 3 chipset...
Performs as expected, very fast and with Crucial's Storage Executive software updating the firmware was easy, I did a clean install of Windows 10 Pro 64bit and I had no issues, also Dynamic Write Acceleration gave the drive a noticeable boost in...
None so far! All though I have read that others had issues updating the firmware when this drive wasn't the primary system disk (C:\),
Consumer review (newegg.com)
Honestly I have never updated the firmware on any of my SSDs. I own two Samsung 850 Pros, an 850 Evo, all of which are in my desktop PC, and then this Crucial MX200 and also a Mushkin ECO2 that sit in my laptop. For my laptop, I was hesitant to buy...
- Reliable MLC. Though TLC NAND is cheaper (e.g. Crucial's BX200), MLC can sustain more lifetime writes. This is the biggest pro for me. - SSD performance. I have a SATA II 3 Gbps connection for my main drive (whatever OS X calls its C: drive), and...
- honestly I'm not 100% sure about all these OEM SSDs compatibility with different OS's. For a desktop, all these points are effectively null (besides TRIM support, which is often OS based), but for a laptop, you might have to pick up third party...
Consumer review (newegg.com)
It works. It's not too terrible expensive.
none whatsoever.
Consumer review (newegg.com)
To "Thomas G." who wrote that his drive "Failed after 3 years and 20 days": These drives have only existed since Q1 2015, so your claim is impossible. I'm writing this to alert everyone that he had a different drive fail and should not consider his...
Fast, cheap.
None.
Consumer review (newegg.com)
This is for Thomas G. that wrote a review 12/30/2015. How could your drive fail after 3 years 20 days when they came out Q1 2015 ?
Fast, reliable, "so far". As far as I know all ssd's slow down if you fill them up. It's not quite as fast as my samsung evo but gets a better overall score using as ssd.
