Good deal

A slightly better product than the newer MX200. Definitely refurbished at the factory, not merely an open-box return. S.M.A.R.T. reports it has zero hours in use and was turned on 2 times before I got it.

Warranty uncertain.

Crucial FCCT256M550SSD1

I've been using SSDs since they came out commercially. My fourth drive. Obviously faster than a spinning drive and much more reliable. Great price on this drive and refurbished means you know it's been inspected and passed. I would certainly recommend...

Well Worth the Price!

This SSD may have been a harder sell at its initial price point; but for what I paid; it is well worth it. I definitely recommend it as a boot drive; or a games drive.

In terms of sequential reads, this SSD can hang with the best of them. Pull writes into the equation, it still holds its own pretty well. CDM shows 550mb/s|478mbps as the OS drive in Windows 7. Random read/write performance seems to be pretty good...

I haven't really run into any huge problems with this SSD; but one issue I had was the inability to install Windows 7. Every disk I tried; the install would fail at about 20%. I'm not sure if that was the SSD's fault; or if my older motherboard was...
