Stick with Newegg, but dump Plextor, it's just not worth the headaches begging them for something that should be freely available to current owners of the drive since it is nothing more than a simple bios update for the SSD.

I wish they would extend the warranty due to a firmware bug that might have set the wear leveling wrong. 3 years 1 month of just read access seems even short for TLC NAND flash.

I also had the internal USB connector on this drive break off. I had bought 2 and had to take apart the second one to use it to get the data from the first one. I have owned literally hundreds of drives and this one was the worst design I have ever seen.
