The Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is Samsung's latest premium smartwatch. We put it to the test for a full week to find out if it worth your money
Solid fitness tracking services ; Rugged, sports-ready design ; Wonderfully bright display
Route planning process feels clunky ; Battery life doesn’t match rival fitness trackers
The Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is one of the best Wear OS wearables currently available and a decent competitor to the Apple Watch 7 for any Android phone user. For the money you get a rugged smartwatch with a splash of advanced health and fitness tracking...

A rough-and-tumble, advanced Samsung Galaxy Watch

Samsung has released two versions of the Galaxy Watch 5 - a regular model and this, the Pro, aimed at a more adventurous type.
Good battery life ; Great-looking design ; Very durable ; Strong feature set and lots of fitness tracking options
It's a little expensive ; Only works with Android phones
Having spent a couple of weeks with the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, it's hard to escape the feeling that - currently - from a features and performance standpoint, this is the best WearOS watch we've seen on the market for some time. In fact, maybe the best ever.

Samsung goes for Pro. Is the Galaxy Watch5 Pro a recipe for wearable success - even now there's a whole new generation on sale?
Tough construction ; Consistent two day battery life ; Software as slick as ever
A big price jump from the Watch5 ; Additional fitness features a bit niche ; Metal or leather strap would have justified the price more than rubber
The toughest, longest-lasting Galaxy Watch yet – but the largely similar software means it’s difficult to justify over the regular Watch5.

With a durable design and exclusive features tailored to outdoor exercise, the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is a no-compromise smartwatch for the great outdoors.
Incredibly durable build ; Multi-day battery life ; Impressively in-depth tracking ; Features for hiking and cycling
Track back and navigation aren’t compatible with running and walking ; Big, bulky design ; No rotating bezel
The Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is a durable smartwatch that can take on the great outdoors, with a 90% stronger display, long battery life and unique outdoor-focused features. However, it’s bulky, certain fitness features are locked to those with a Samsung...

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is big, powerful, and has a long-lasting battery. But is it worth the steep price tag? We find out in our review.
Luxury materials Super sharp screen 3-day battery life Comprehensive health tracking D Buckle strap is excellent
Niche additional features Slightly slow performance after waking up Notifications don't always wake the screen
“Buy the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro for its longer battery life and luxurious materials, not its niche GPS features. But remember the normal Galaxy Watch 5 is just as good and costs less.”

The rugged Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro doubles the battery life of the standard model and adds exclusive outdoor adventure features, including turn-by-turn cycling and hiking directions, for $170 more.

This watch is big, bulky and ready for action.
Good heart rate accuracy during workouts ; Wide selection of apps through the Play Store ; Battery lasts longer than Galaxy Watch 5 ; Tough construction
Dim always-on display during outdoor workouts ; Skin temperature sensor not active yet ; Limited recovery metrics ; Only one 45mm size

Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is a rugged powerhouse, the crown jewel of Samsung's wearable collection.
Superb battery life ; Titanium body + sapphire screen is a superb combo ; Bright and legible OLED display ; Great health and sleep monitoring ; Good haptic feedback ; Charges rather quickly
15.5mm real thickness means that it's bulkier than advertised ; The rotating bezel is sadly gone ; Ecosystem issues - some features are exclusive to Galaxy phones

Samsung's Galaxy Watch 5 Pro brings a few minor improvements in hardware and software over other Galaxy Watch models, but is it good enough to replace a GPS sports watch?
Lightweight titanium casing ; Sapphire glass AMOLED display ; Large enough battery for most users ; Google Wear OS 3 app support
Limited, manual GPX process ; Skin temperature not yet enabled ; Blood pressure remains elusive in the US
The Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is available now for $449.99 in Black Titanium and Gray Titanium. Samsung offers compelling trade-in deals so I sent in my Galaxy Watch 4 Classic for a LTE Watch 5 Pro and shaved $140 off the price. The Watch 5 Pro has proven to...
