Polar Loop 2

The Polar Loop 2 is the Finnish company's second-generation sub-£100 activity tracker. Following years of making sports watches and wireless heart-rate monitors, Polar decided to take on the likes of Fitbit, Jawbone and Misfit with its very own fitness...

Light and comfortable to wear ; Useful inactivity alerts ; Easy to setup external heart-rate monitor support

Fiddly customising the perfect fit ; Some syncing issues ; Not a very sleek design

The Polar Loop 2 is a solid if uninspiring update to the original – I expect more from the next iteration of the Loop.

Polar Activity Loop 2 review: Function over form

Polar has been on the fitness tracking scene for a while - like 40 years - creating devices for those who take their activity monitoring a little more seriously. The runners and cyclists of this world who want plethora of stats including heart-rate...

Waterproof; accurate activity tracking; good battery life (but not 8 days); comfortable to wear; smartphone notifications; tracks laying, sitting and standing as well as walking and running

Fiddly to size, app not as user-friendly as competitors (is better in browser form), can’t see display in sunlight, chunky design

The Polar Activity Loop 2 is a tricky one to place. Polar undoubtedly has a great deal of experience within the fitness tracking sector, but without the accompanying heart-rate monitor, the Loop 2 doesn't do much more than any of the others in its...

Polar Loop 2 review

  (Rating Hidden)

The original Polar Loop was reasonably accurate, but we found some aspects of the design a little odd, as well as the band being fairly bulky compared to others. So has Polar cracked the comfort aspect with its successor? We tried it on for size to...

Polar Loop 2 review

If you're seeking a no-frills activity tracker, the Polar Loop 2 should place on your shortlist.

You could bemoan the lack of GPS, or the extra $80 you’ll have to pay out to snag a heart-rate sensor, but for $120 the Polar Loop 2 offers a pretty good range of features. Its automatic nature makes it suitable for anyone looking to boost their...

Polar Loop 2

The Polar Loop 2 is a middle-of-the-road fitness tracker that covers your basic needs and not much more.

Tracks activity, sleep, and inactivity. Divides daily activity into time spent sitting, standing, walking, etc. Waterproof. Syncs with computer or mobile device.

Not very fashionable. So-so battery life. Rudimentary push notifications.

Conclusions If you have a first-generation Polar Loop and love it, the Loop 2 might be for you. But if you're buying your first fitness tracker, another device with a better design or more features will probably make you happier. For style, I prefer...

Polar's new Loop activity tracker adds smartphone notifications

It's been nearly two years since Polar entered the activity tracker market. Since the release of the Polar Loop in 2013, the wearable market has shifted towards devices that offer more than just basic activity tracking. We are now seeing trackers that...

Review: Polar Loop 2 activity tracker & H7 heart rate sensor

The market for wearable activity trackers continues to grow, which means greater choice for those interested in using technology to help maintain a better quality of life, but it also makes it tough to decide which one is right for you. We got some...

last up to a week, but we found that you need to keep notifications off and button presses to a freakish minimum to achieve this. The internal motor, which vibrates for notifications, and LED screen tend to drain the battery quickly. A full charge...

Great buy!

I brought the tracker for my friend and I and its great! It connects to my iPhone, alerts me when I receive a phone call or message or when I have sat down for too long! I've downloaded the app on my phone and it takes into account the data from my...

Good tracker

I really like this tracker. It looks good and I don't have to wear a separate watch which I like. I like the text and call alerts I tend to leave my phone on silent so its useful for me. Just have to be careful when you cut the band if you take off too...
