The OnePlus Watch 2R could be a budget smartwatch done right, ditching expensive materials instead of core smartwatch tech.
The OnePlus Watch 2R looks like it could be a budget watch done right; rather than ditching the tech that makes the OnePlus Watch 2 so special, it instead swapped out the material for something a little more affordable, whilst also managing to be more...

After plenty of hype and speculation, the OnePlus Watch is finally here and so is our verdict on OnePlus' first wearable.
Fantastic battery life ; Massive, bright screen
Uninspiring design ; Only 14-workouts can be tracked ; Very basic app functionality ; You can get better fitness trackers for less

The OnePlus Watch has good looks and great battery life. You can't add to its preinstalled apps, but it's good value if you don't need extra features.
Week-long battery life Sleek design Bright display and nice interface
No facility to add apps Software glitches Only basic fitness tracking
The OnePlus Watch is a great first smartwatch from OnePlus, blowing pricier rivals away in a couple of key areas, with sleek looks and week-long battery life. However, with a bespoke operating system it can’t load more than the preinstalled selection...

T3's official OnePlus Watch review is here. Find out if it beats the Apple Watch now
Minimalist design with large watch face ; Comfortable on the wrist ; Plenty of fitness / health tracking features ; Syncs well with OnePlus Health app ; Battery life is good and recharge time is fast ; Much more affordable than Apple Watch
Watch strap easily collects detritus ; Accuracy of step counting unknown ; Small amount of Watch Faces to choose from ; Doesn't look markedly different from rivals
If the Apple Watch is the smartwatch industry's flagship product, then the OnePlus Watch is a great first attempt at a flagship killer, which is what the Chinese brand first became known for with its mobile phones. The OnePlus Watch doesn't dethrone...

The OnePlus Watch looks very attractive for its price, but until we are able to test the watch in any way, we'll have to reserve our judgment.
Very smooth design Huge display
Only size may be too large for some Haven't tested fitness
The OnePlus Watch looks very attractive for its price, but until we are able to test the watch in any way, we’ll have to reserve our judgment on the brand’s first big foray into smartwatches.

OnePlus' first attempt at a smartwatch is severely flawed. We explain why in our in-depth review.
Stainless steel case ; Waterproof to 50m ; Flexible and easy-to-use strap ; Long battery life
Too big for some wrists ; Unreliable GPS and step counting ; Basic smartwatch features ; No always-on display ; No contactless payment ; Only supports Android
The frustrating thing about this watch is that it just feels unfinished. Sure, it looks pretty enough and battery life is great, but it's incredibly unreliable as a fitness tracker - so, at launch, not fit for purpose.

A Wear OS smartwatch with an ECG sensor and up to five days of battery life. Is the OnePlus Watch 3 the real deal, or is it too good to be true?

WearOS' new battery champ also looks the part and is fab for fitness. The OnePlus Watch 3 impresses in almost every area
Outstanding battery life for a Wear OS watch ; Slick styling inspired by traditional timepieces ; More health tracking tech, with greater accuracy
Some health features country-dependent ; Still just one size option and no LTE model
A more refined take on what was already a fantastic Wear OS watch. The OnePlus Watch 3 lasts longer, looks slicker, and is even more fitness-focused.

The OnePlus Watch 2R is a cheaper version of the OnePlus Watch 2, that offers the same features and performance from a less premium design
Affordable ; Excellent battery life ; Lightweight design ; Solid fitness tracking
Downgrade in case material and screen protection ; Only one size
The OnePlus Watch 2R might get a downgrade in design materials, but it offers a cheaper and lighter way to get a solid-performing Wear OS smartwatch on your wrist.

OnePlus is a very trusted brand for smartphones, having produced excellent devices over the years, but can it do just as well with smartwatches?
– Awesome battery life and a stunning screen
— Overpriced, with an insipid design and basic functionality
The OnePlus Watch is a disappointing package given the price and the company behind it. Even though the battery life is good, as is the screen, it only delivers basic functionality overall and you’d be better off considering something like the Honor...
