Fitbit Charge

The Fitbit Force replacement wasn't really worth the wait

Automatic sleep tracking ; Bright, easy to view display ; Improved battery life

Limited smartwatch features ; Lacks inactivity vibration alerts

The Fitbit Charge is a solid, if not groundbreaking successor to the Flex that should stick to health and fitness and leave the smartwatch features to the smartwatches.

Fitbit Charge review

A fitness tracker that picks up where its New Year's recall left off

OLED displays stats ; iOS, Android, WP ; Auto-tracks sleep ; Caller ID works

Similar to last year ; Price unchanged ; Poor sleep accuracy ; Faulty clasp

Fitbit Charge replaces the Fitbit Force that was recalled last New Year's, and it adds features like caller ID and automatic sleep tracking to remain among the best all-around fitness trackers.

Is the Force strong with this one?

Nice price ; Good screen ; Comfortable

One year later, Fitbit Charge HR stands out as the best

The Fitbit Charge HR still lacks in-depth coaching, but its combination of features, size and price are unmatched...and if you find it on sale you should buy it.

Continuous heart rate tracking. Slim design. Affordable price. Works with Windows, iPhone and Android phones. Fitbit's massive popularity means you'll be able to join up and compete with friends. Connects with many third-party fitness apps. Automatic...

Design and fit aren't ideal for glancing at heart rate. Not shower or swim-friendly. OLED display turns off after a few seconds, which gets annoying. Heart-rate coaching and goal-setting isn't intuitive.

Fitbit's Charge HR combines heart rate tracking, sleep tracking and fitness into an affordable, slim band with good battery life. It's a hard combination to beat.

Why the Fitbit Charge is the best new activity tracker

The Fitbit Charge is an activity tracker that displays fitness stats right on your wrist. It's the replacement for the Force, which never launched in the UK. It's better than the Force, thanks to a couple of handy additions: automatic sleep tracking...

Fitbit Charge Review: In Depth

We review the Fitbit Charge, the latest wearable fitness tracker from Fitbit featuring full day and night tracking, a handy display to check your progress...

Great battery life ; Plenty of customisation ; Social features

Specialised charger ; Can't update goals via app ; Limited to walking/running

The Fitbit Charge is a fantastic fitness tracker, for everyone from the casual enthusiast to the dedicated athlete. It may be limited in that it can only track walking and running, but the level of customisation is impressive, the social aspects help...

Fitbit Charge review

The Fitbit Charge is one of three new fitness wristbands to be released in the coming months. The Charge is on sale now, to be followed early 2015 by the heart-rate monitoring Fitbit Charge HR and heart/GPS–based, self-styled “fitness super watch”...

The Fitbit Charge is a superb activity tracker wristband that replaces the troubled Fitbit Force and adds some great new features to reward Fitbit fans’ patient waiting. It beats other fitness wristbands by showing the stats right there on your wrist,...

Fitbit Charge review: No heart rate, but everything else

The Charge is a good fitness band, but the heart-rate-tracking Charge HR costs only a bit more. You might want to spend up.

The Fitbit Charge has a comfortable design and a display for time and step-tracking. It gets call notifications and syncs automatically to a variety of phone platforms.

The forthcoming Charge HR adds heart-rate tracking and a better clasp for just $20 more; the Fitbit app is well designed but feels a little dated compared to the competition.

The Fitbit Charge is a fine replacement for the discontinued Fitbit Force, but you're better off waiting for Fitbit's heart-rate-tracking upgrade.

Fitbit Charge: A solid fitness tracker you shouldn’t buy [REVIEW]

The Fitbit Charge is a solid follow-up to the recalled Force wristband tracker, but hold off for its upcoming HR model instead.

Better clasp ; Automatic sleep mode ; Lightweight design

No heart-rate tracking ; Can't withstand immersion in water ; Questionable accuracy

The Fitbit Charge is a solid follow-up to the recalled Force wristband tracker, but hold off for the Charge HR and its heart-rate tracking features when it launches in early 2015.

Fitbit Charge review

Comfortable, accurate and affordable, the Charge is only let down by the smart features of some rivals. But a soon-to-be released update may change all that...

So the Charge’s only problem seems to be the Garmin, which offers all the same features, and more, for around the same price. But Fitbit looks set to take the lead within months with the launch of the Charge HR. For only £20 more than the Charge thi...
