Digital devices are so woven into the fabric of today's society that there's little that isn't now possible. We're all used to TVs, computers and the like - you know, the usual couch potato kind of kit - but recently it's health and fitness gadgets...

Modern design, digital lifestyle integration, easy set-up, fun display, multiple-person use, personal online tracking, ties in with other FitBit products, can still weigh without Wi-Fi connection, standard AA batteries

Accuracy is questionable, surface will mark easily, lack of UK products in online food documenting system, if Wi-Fi's out you won't get a record of weigh-in

We think the FitBit Aria scales are a cool digital addition to any bathroom. They look decent, they work well, don’t cost a fortune and are fuss-free to set up.

Fitbit might be a market leader in wearable tech but one of its products cannot be worn on the body. If you did, you'd be using it as weights rather than it reading your weight.

The Fitbit Aria Air is a sleek smart scale for those already in the Fitbit ecosystem

 

Monitor workouts, fitness goals, and weight in the same app.

Quick setup ; Sleek look ; Easy to integrate into the Fitbit ecosystem ; Useful for detecting trends and working toward weight-related goals

Must use scale with app open or manually record weight in order to track it ; BMI isn’t totally reliable

The Aria Air scale is a no-brainer for existing Fitbit customers who want to add one more metric to those they’re already tracking, but a harder sell for weight-conscious individuals who aren’t yet plugged into the Fitbit world.

Tracks weight as well as percentages of muscle mass and fat. Readings are accurate. Easy logging of body data in one location — just step on the glass, and it’s recorded. Data reports actually motivated me to step on the scale at least once a day....

Steep price of 0. Full potential of the device is only unleashed if you’ve already got a FitBit Ultra. Limited data displayed on the scale — you have to fire up the app to see the deeper stuff
