The Apple Watch Series 9 is a fantastic smartwatch for iPhone users. It's full of sensors, excellent software and high-end hardware
Certain models made from recycled aluminium ; Faster Siri ; Accurate tracking ; Very bright screen
Design remains the same ; Health data needs to be shown better
The Apple Watch Series 9 is a fantastic smartwatch for iPhone users. It’s full of sensors, excellent software and high-end hardware. A redesign, or a least a freshening up of this near decade-old design wouldn’t go amiss in the future though.

Don't let the look of the Series 9 fool you – it's a big update over the Series 8 and is worth the upgrade
Faster processor ; Brighter screen ; Gesture control ; Carbon Neutral certification (with specific bands)
Battery life hasn't improved
The Apple Watch Series 9 might look the same as the Series 8 or even the Series 7, but it has a brighter display, a faster processor, exclusive features, and a somewhat more sustainable construction – what else can you ask for? It's a superb wearable...

The Apple Watch Series 9 is the future-proof iOS watch to get
Brighter, more powerful screen ; Useful new double-tap gestures ; New S9 chipset
Same 18-hour battery life ; Identical design and sizes ; watchOS 10 covers most bases on older watches
After a week with the Apple Watch Series 9, and a demonstration of some of the features unavailable at launch, it's clear that it's largely more of the same again – but with a twist. Thanks to the upgraded S9 chip, for once when discussing an Apple...

Apple Watch owners can now install the first public beta of watchOS 10, but what's it like and should you? Here's what you should expect.

An existing Apple Watch accessibility feature lets you recreate the Apple Watch Series 9's Double Tap feature on older devices.

Time for a change? Not with this update, which nets you a great device but one with few surprises over the Series 8
Brighter display ; More powerful SiP ; Your bands still fit ; Double-tap should be great…
… But it’s not there at launch ; Battery life no better ; No big reason to upgrade ; Still requires an iPhone
Another year of gentle tick-tock iteration. But for newcomers, the speedier S9 chip will give this watch longevity over the SE, and one-handed double-tap shows promise.

The mainstream model takes on the fitness-focused flagship. Who comes out on top in the Watch Series 9 vs Watch Ultra 2 battle?
Expert review by : Stan Schroeder (mashable.com)
The Apple Watch Series 9 has iterative updates, but one key feature might make the upgrade worth it.
New chip is promising ; Double Tap looks fun ; Very bright display ; Carbon neutral
Apple's new Watch Series 9 and its new S9 chip are a foundation for things to come, but new features are few and far between at this point.

The Apple Watch Series 9 is the perfect introduction to the world of Apple's superb smartwatches, as not only does it follow the winning formula of previous models, but it's also only going to get better over the coming months.
Supreme 24/7 comfort Choice of size, color, and bands Extensive health, fitness, and safety features Fast, smooth, and usable performance Total, easy integration with the iPhone
Less than two days battery life with moderate use Almost no reason to upgrade from previous version
The Apple Watch Series 9 is best suited to newcomers to Apple’s smartwatches rather than an essential upgrade for anyone who has already bought one in the last three or four years. I want to restate how excellent the Apple Watch is, how seamlessly it...

The Apple Watch Series 9 offers just enough improvement to remain the best smartwatch for iPhone users. Its powerful S9 processor enables hands-free double-tap gestures, on-device Siri processing, and a brighter display without impacting battery life....
Powerful processor Bright display Double-tap gesture for hands-free operation On-device Siri Precision Finding for iPhone 15 family Carbon neutral build option
Familiar design
The Apple Watch Series 9 has a faster processor, a brighter display, and a more eco-friendly build than its predecessor, making it the best smartwatch for iPhone owners.
