Alcatel OneTouch Watch

Updated: Now with hands-on video of Alcatel's affordable smartwatch

Priced the same as some basic fitness trackers, the device pairs a strong, albeit samey, features list with impressive styling and a bespoke OS which ticks all the boxes. It's only a shame that not all of the ideas behind the OneTouch Watch were...

Alcatel OneTouch Watch review

Alcatel's watch keeps it simple but lacks the smarts

Better-than-average battery life ; Metal sides, glass front style feels good ; Handy integrated charge cable

Features so limited it's barely smartwatch ; Screen just OK ; Low fps software gives sluggish vibe

Earlier this year we talked to Alcatel OneTouch about why they chose to make an unusual watch like this rather than an Android wear one. They told us they couldn't make a device this slim and long-lasting with Wear.

Hands on: Alcatel OneTouch Watch hands-on review

Alcatel's new OneTouch watch has the right smarts and low enough price tag to make it an intriguing proposition.

Low price ; Premium design ; Key features included

Limited apps ; Questionable battery life ; Sluggish interface

Alcatel One Touch Watch Review: In Depth

Alcatel One Touch Watch Review: We slip on Alcatel's £99 smartwatch, which sports a built-in charging nubbin and support for both iPhone and Android mobiles....

Built-in charger ; iOS and Android compatible

Iffy strap ; Black bar on screen ; No always-on display

The Alcatel One Touch Watch has some really good ideas, such as the built-in charger, and has to be commended on its own-brand OS and multiple platform support. Plus at just £99 it’s one of the cheapest smartwatches out there..

Alcatel OneTouch Watch hands-on review

Wearables are a big part of CES 2015 and Alcatel's OneTouch Watch is one of the more affordable smartwatches cum activity trackers we've seen. Here's our Alcatel OneTouch Watch hands-on review. Updated on 14/5/15 with UK release date and price. See...

We like the combination of style and affordability which the Alcatel OneTouch Watch offers. Software might not be as good as Android Wear but this device has potential so stay tuned for a full review soon.

Alcatel OneTouch Watch reviewed: It's got the looks, but that's not enough

A nice design and decent battery life still can't save Alcatel's smartwatch debut.

The Alcatel OneTouch Watch has an attractive design, long (for a smartwatch) battery life, has a built-in USB charger in its band, works with iOS and Android phones, and includes basic fitness tracking.

Buggy-feeling connectivity as well as slow custom software and user interface feel hard to operate; read-only notifications; LCD screen isn't always on; heart-rate monitor only does spot readings, and doesn't give consistent readings.

The Alcatel OneTouch Watch is an affordable and reasonably attractive basic smartwatch, but it doesn't work well enough to justify choosing one over better and increasingly comparably priced alternatives.

Alcatel OneTouch Watch

Having recently told you about the latest Alcatel Smart Watch called the ‘Go Watch’ I now have the chance to see how they arrived there by looking at its predecessor which should still be on sale in some outlets and its look may suit the older user.

The first review will have been published about a week or so ago.

Review: Alcatel OneTouch Watch

Smartwatches are definitely the new ‘thing' every mobile phone company is coming out with. From Apple to Huawei, from Sony to Samsung, and the likes[...]

It’s a funny one this for me. Packed full of features, a great price, but a struggling UI. It seems like a Windows phone in the world of Android and Apple.

Alcatel OneTouch Watch review: No beginner's luck here

This is Alcatel OneTouch's first stab at making a smartwatch, and it's obvious the company's not drawing from a vast pool of experience. Despite the goal of delivering a polished, attractive smartwatch with a reasonable price tag, the Alcatel OneTouch...

Works with iOS and Android ; Impressive battery life ; USB charging port built into strap ; $150 isn't terrible for a smartwatch

Wrist strap ishefty, uncomfortable ; Sometimes struggles to stay connected ; May never get third-party apps

Here's my smartwatch philosophy in a nutshell: The best ones do exactly what you need them to when you need them to, and then fade away into the background when it's all done. When everything works the way it's supposed to, Alcatel OneTouch's Watch...
