Canary's smart home device is more than just a camera, with several useful features that make it more an all-in-one home-monitoring system. These include location-based notifications, an in-depth app, and environmental data that keeps track of air...
The Canary is extremely reliable but it lacks the extra features to make it stand out in a competitive market.

What goes on in your house when you're not there? That's the question that Canary is here to answer with its £159 smart home security system. We trust Canary. That's the bottom line here. There's a lot about it that really feels like "the one" as smart...
Inconspicuous design, great app experience, multiple users, recognises phones to deactivate as necessary, multiple sensors and alarm features, 12-hour free timeline
Regular false recognition, no bracket for variable positioning, future potential not yet realised from multiple sensors (no IFTTT, for example), subscription cost complexity, no recording downloads
We trust Canary. That's the bottom line here. There's a lot about it that really feels like "the one" as smart home security goes. It doesn't have the face recognition technology that Netatmo's added on to Welcome but we're not sure it really needs it....

If I were a shopper currently in the market for a home security system, I'd be giving Canary a good, close look. With an HD, night-vision camera and a bevy of sensors for things like motion, temperature, and air quality Canary promises to stand guard...
Canary offers impressive video quality including a highly detailed night vision mode. Its "Homehealth" sensors are accurate and helpful.
An over-sensitive motion sensor renders Canary borderline unusable, and we didn't receive text alerts when we cut the power.
Canary is packed with solid hardware, but it doesn't add up to a device we'd want to depend on.
Compared to other smart home security systems, such as the

Feature rich ; Great design ; Intuitive app ; Intelligent learning

Home security is incredibly important to us, so it is of no wonder that we are now starting to heavily invest in small home security systems to monitor your pets or your belongings. With monitoring devices becoming smarter and smaller, with readily...

When I think of Canary I think of a bird known for its singing and in a way no doubt this is how the name of this product was arrived at. It is a security alarm product that sees the intruder and then no matter what he/she does they are on camera.
To say the setup was not easy is perhaps the understatement of the year – no make that decade – as even though I live in the UK – and it agrees with that – it insists I enter a ‘state’ this however can be anything a blank space or a non-existent one it...

The Canary Smart Home Security camera is the latest security gadget for keeping tabs on your home when you're out and about, but is it good enough to be worth buying? We added one to our home and put it through its paces to find out.
First off, considering it's just a security camera, the Canary Smart Home Security camera looks fantastic. It's a seriously nice bit of kit, with an inconspicuous design that blends into the background
Our biggest gripe with the Canary is that it can be deactivated simply by cutting off the power - and you don't receive a notification when that does happen. Which means thieves can easily deactivate the camera if they do spot it
Solid, beautiful hardware, combined with an elegant app make for a compelling argument to pop the Canary Smart Home Security camera in your home for security, but annoying notifications, a somewhat frustrating set-up process and no easy way to mount it...

Canary's system comes with everything you need to set it up. Once you download the iOS app and plug in the device, you pair it to your phone via a yellow wire (which you only need to use once). Hook up Canary to your home WiFi or wired router and it is...
As vapid and widespread as the Internet of Things segment is, it is products like the Canary wireless security system that offer a cohesive and effective example of a connected, smart, cloud-powered and app-controllable security option that is well...

The Canary All-In-One Home Security Device keeps tabs on your home with 1080p video capture and sensors for air quality, humidity, and temperature, but you'll have to pay extra to use many of its features.

This cloud-based security system delivers features galore, but it's far from perfect.
