Philips Hue Lux review

Philips Hue LEDs come with two main draws: smart, app-enabled lighting control, and a color-changing novelty factor. However, at $60 per bulb and $200 for a three-bulb starter kit (£50 and £180 in the UK, not yet available in Australia), they're also...

The Philips Hue Lux LEDs don't change color, but they do offer an affordable smart lighting entry point. Direct integration with IFTTT and a well-polished app make for a more feature-rich experience than you'll get with other kits.

The Hue Lux LEDs aren't "color tunable" like some recent competitors, meaning that you're locked in at a yellowy 2,700 K.

These bulbs make the appealing world of Philips Hue lighting more accessible than ever before. At $30 each, they're definitely worth considering.

Philips Hue Lux Review: Wireless light at a lower price

Selling people on the concept of Philips Hue color-changing bulbs generally isn't hard, but convincing them on the cost of the system can be tougher. Into the mixture, then, steps Hue Lux, slashing the price of the bulbs though giving up on color as a...

Hue’s appeal has always been in the degree of control and convenience it brings to your environment: light makes a massive difference to how a space feels, and there’s still something pleasing about being able to adjust the whole house from your phone....

Excellent product

Well presented and packaged product that does what it says on the tin. Very easy to install in your network but my only criticism is that there are no instructions. Perhaps I am a little dull but I could not work out how to cause the lights to come on...

These Philips Hue lightbulbs are really great All can be controlled through my iPhone and are really easy to set on and off. I like the idea that I can set timers so it can look like we are at home when we are away. The different settings are really...
