Xerox DocuMate 252

The Xerox DocuMate 252 speeds through long documents like the proverbial hot knife through butter.

Scans 25 sheets per minute, or 50 images per minute when scanning both sides at once. Bundled software includes OmniPage Pro for OCR.

The user guide ignores some bundled programs, so you have to figure out what they?re for.

Great Scanner

Love the one touch feature, which makes scanning a breeze.

I bought this scanner for the price/size, four years ago for a Doctor's Office. That has been working ever since. Ever since then I have sold these to all kind of clients, who adore these

There is really no way to get these repaired once they die, after making regular maintenance, if they do not work, they are gone. Just buy a new one, do not get a refurbished from Xerox, those do not work

So Far So Good

Fast and so far very reliable... Got it to work with Linux fairly well

Software is a little glitchy when using mapped drives... Have to reset them up when connection is lost. While doing this paperport locks up... Doesn't happen very often though

Half-baked Vista Support

We bought this scanner to integrate with Adobe Acrobat Pro 8.1. I like Acrobat's features and the girls on the front desk who do all the scanning find it easy to scan with. We own a Visioneer (which is what this scanner is) running on Windows XP and it...

Great hardware, fast, well made, solidly built, great feeder

Twain driver for Vista not fully ready

Perfect

We have sold many of these to our customers. While we also do all of their IT, this has been a perfect product to work with and our customers love them. Most found these to be the easiest for their staff to use

The software is not 100% intutive for basic users but better than most

Very happy with it

All in All its been a fair drive but I have just replaced it with a phillips spd2413

I manage a small business and use this scanner to store the tons of paperwork that I receive. I have found it to be compact and reliable. It scans almost everything I could possibly want, including heavy gauge paper. I dont use it for thermal paper...

Paper Port is great, but an old version. I don't use OmniPage. The software is somewhat difficult to install and configure successfully

Slows down MSIE in Vista

It grabs the paper really fast so you have to be a bit nimble in feeding it or else it will go in at an angle. The learning curve for me was about the fifth time I fed paper into it. Startup scripts on x64 Vista are all in...

Fast and great at duplex. Works with Vista x64 (not completely - see below). Scans photographs (says it doesn't but I didn't have a problem. May depend on thickness) ; Seems to have no problems with my old statements that were z-folded in envelopes....

Executes seven different applications upon login to Windows (with full install). I have my doubts that they're all necessary as soon as you log into Windows. One of the applications requires UAC elevation on start-up every time you log in (I think it's...
